Understand the Selection Process
As the UPTET Exam is a qualifying examination, candidates will not be offered direct recruitment to the schools if they qualify. Instead, it will serve as the major eligibility criterion while applying for teacher posts in the junior high schools of Uttar Pradesh. The UPTET examination is not a single step process. It involves two papers – one for those aspirants who wish to teach the primary level of students and the next one for those aspirants who wish to teach for students of the junior high grades. Any candidate who is able to score 60% will be issued an eligibility certificate by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB), which will be valid for 7 years.
