The eligibility criteria set by WBPSC for the post of Laboratory Assistant is as mentioned below. Following factors has to be satisfied by the candidates to be eligible to apply for the post-

Required Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Physics as one of the subjects from recognized University or Institute.

Age Limit:

• Candidates must not be more than 40 years on 01.01.2020

2. WBPSC 2020 Workshop Instructor/Instructor in the Trade/Discipline of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering

Required Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria set by WBPSC for the post of Workshop Instructor is as mentioned below. Following factors has to be satisfied by the candidates to be eligible to apply for the post-

Required Educational Qualification

• Madhyamik Examination of West Bengal Board of Secondary Education / its equivalent.
• National Trade Certificate in the Trade of Electronics Mechanic/Mechanic (Radio & Television) from an Institute affiliated to Director General of Employment and Training, Government of India, with not less than five years’ post qualification experience.

Or

• Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from a recognized Institution with not less than three years’ post qualification experience.

Or

• National Apprenticeship Certificate after obtaining National Trade Certificate in Electronics Mechanic/Mechanic (Radio & Television) Trade from an Institute affiliated to Director General of Employment and Training, Government of India, with not less than four years’ post qualification experience.

Or

• National Trade certificate in Broad Based Basic Training (BBBT) with Advanced Module in Electronics Sector with five years’ experience.

Age Limit

• Candidates must not be more than 39 years on 01.01.2020.

3. WBPSC 2020 Assistant Engineer (Mechanical/Electrical)

Eligibility Criteria

Following factors has to be satisfied by the candidates to be eligible to apply for the post-

Required Educational Qualification

• Essential: Candidates must hold a Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent qualifications.
• Desirable: 1  year’s post- graduate practical training or study or research or practical Engineering experience.

Age Limit

• Candidates must not be more than 36 years of age on 01.01.2020.

4. Assistant Director of Horticulture

Eligibility Criteria

Following factors has to be satisfied by the candidates to be eligible to apply for the post-

Required Educational Qualification

• Essential: A Bachelor degree in Horticulture/ Agriculture with Horticulture as an elective subject from a recognized University.
• Desirable: Master Degree in Horticulture from a recognized University.

Age Limit:

• Candidates must not be more than 36 years of age as on 01.01.2020

5. Geography Mistress

Eligibility Criteria

Following factors has to be satisfied by the candidates to be eligible to apply for the post-

Required Educational Qualification

Essential:

• A Second Class Master’s degree or Honours degree in Geography of an Indian University or equivalent.
• A degree in Teaching or Education or equivalent ( a candidate not possessing this qualification may apply but after selection must acquire such qualifications within 3 years of joining the post ).
• Teaching experience in English medium in Secondary Schools, preferably residential ones.
• Ability to teach in English language.

Desirable:

• Ability to organize extracurricular activities such as performance of dramas etc.
• Knowledge of Bengali- spoken and written.
• Knowledge of Nepali- spoken and written

Age Limit:

• Candidates must not be more than 37 years of age as on 01.01.2020..

6. District Organizer of Physical Education

Eligibility Criteria

Following factors has to be satisfied by the candidates to be eligible to apply for the post-

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University / it’s equivalent;
• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from a recognized University;
• A certificate in coaching from Sports Authority of India, Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports, Patiala;
• Good Knowledge of Bengali or Nepali – spoken and written.
• Ability to undertake extensive tour on official duty.

Age Limit:

• Candidates must not be more than 39 years of age as on 01.01.2020.

7. Inspector of Legal Metrology

Eligibility Criteria

Following factors has to be satisfied by the candidates to be eligible to apply for the post-

Required Educational Qualification

• Candidate must be a graduate of a recognized university in Science (with Physics as one of the subjects), Technology or Engineering;

OR

• Holds a recognized diploma in Engineering with three years experience in the field of Engineering in which the candidate has earned the diploma or in the field of Legal Metrology; –
• Also candidate is able to speak, read and write the regional language of the state, i.e., Bengali / Nepali for the candidates whose mother tongue is Nepali.

Age Limit:

• Candidates must not be more than 36 years of age as on 01.01.2020.

N.B:- A candidate appointed to the post of Inspector of Legal Metrology shall have to complete successfully the basic training course at the Indian Institute of Legal Metrology established by the Central Govt. and clear Half-yearly Departmental Examination before he/she is being considered for confirmation to the post.

8. Geologist

Eligibility Criteria

Required Educational Qualification

• Essential:

1. i) A Second Class Master’s Degree in Geology or Applied Geology of a recognized University/ Institute or equivalent qualifications
2. ii) Two years practical experience in prospecting various minerals.

• Desirable:

Experience in Mining and Drilling.

Age Limit:

• Candidates must not be not more than 36 years as on 01.01.2020.

9. Mining Officer

Eligibility Criteria

Required Educational Qualification

Essential:

• A Degree in Mining Engineering form a recognized University/ Institution or a Diploma in Mining Engineering form Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad or equivalent

OR

• A Second Class Master’s Degree in Geology or Applied Geology or equivalent from a recognized University/ Institute
• Also Two years field experience, relaxable at the discretion of the Public Service Commission, W. B. for otherwise well-qualified candidates

Desirable:

• Second Class Mines Manager’s Certificate &
• Practical knowledge of Mine Surveying.

AGE Limit:

• Candidates must not be more than 40 years as on 01.01.2020.

Note:-

The selected candidates, if necessary, will have to undergo in-service training for six months in Mining

10. Deputy Director of Vocational Education and Training, W.B

Eligibility Criteria

Required Educational Qualification

• A Bachelor’s degree with first class or 60% marks or B+ in the aggregate or a post graduate degree in any branch of Engineering or Technology or equivalent qualifications from a recognized University .
• Six years’ experience in Teaching / Research / Administration / Industry including two years experience in administration of Technical or Vocational Education and Training.

Age Limit:

• Candidates must not be more than 40 years as on 01.01.2020.

11. Assistant Director of Vocational Education and Training, W.B

Eligibility Criteria

Required Educational Qualification

• A Bachelor’s degree with first class or 60% marks or B+ in the aggregate or a post graduate degree in any branch of Engineering or Technology or equivalent qualifications from a recognized University.

Age Limit:

• Candidates must not be more than 37 years of age as on 01.01.2020.
