The theme for World Intellectual Property Day this year is “IP and Youth: Innovating for a Better Future,” which honours youth-led innovation and creativity. Today’s youth are a wealth of inventiveness and imagination that has mostly gone unexplored. Their new insights, energy, curiosity, and “can-do” attitude, not to mention their desire for a brighter future, are already changing ways and propelling innovation and change.
World Intellectual Property Day 2022 provides a chance for young people to learn how IP rights can help them achieve their goals, produce revenue, create jobs, and have a good impact on the world around them. World Intellectual Property Day 2022 – Celebration

Each year, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) collaborates with a variety of government agencies, non-governmental organisations, community groups, and individuals to organise a variety of events and activities to commemorate World Intellectual Property Day. The following activities and events may be included (but are not limited to):
- Stage concerts or other public performances focused on the World IP Day theme, with performers expressing messages that promote creator respect and creativity.

To celebrate World Intellectual Property Day, certain local intellectual property and copyright offices may have an open house on or around April 26. Some educational institutions may use World IP Day to honour the contributions of a renowned inventor, artist, designer, or entrepreneur, and to engage students in conversations about the importance of intellectual property.
