Kerala PSC HSST Exam Pattern

Candidates should have a clear idea about the exam pattern. The following table shows the marks and time duration of Higher Secondary School Teacher exam.

There will be a total of 100 questions with one mark for each question.

Kerala PSC HSST Detailed Exam Analysis

Candidates who are applying for the job can select the medium of examination from the given option on the official website. The question papers that will be provided to the candidates in the examination hall will be of the optional language the candidate has selected while applying for the examination. Optional languages that are available on the website are Tamil, English, Kannada, Malayalam, Arabic, Sanskrit, and Hindi.

Minimum Eligibility To Apply for Higher Secondary School Teacher

The age limit to apply for an HSST vacancy in Kerala Government service is 20 to 40 years. OBC and SC/ST category are eligible for Upper age relaxation
Master’s Degree in the concerned subject with not less than 50% marks from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent.
Ed Degree in the concerned subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent.
Must have passed the State Eligibility Test for the post of Higher Secondary School Teachers conducted by the Government of Kerala or by the agency authorized by the State Government.

QUALIFICATION FOR KERALA PSC HSST EXAM

Post-Graduation+ M.Ed. or Post Graduation +B.Ed. +SET.
Additional Qualifications such as MPhil/PhD /Post-Doctoral Fellowship (postdoc) will be considered.
The following category is exempted from SET Qualification:

Those who have qualified SLET exam (State Level Eligibility Test).
Those who have qualified NET (National Eligibility Test)/ JRF (Junior Research Fellowship)
Those who have PhD/MPhil/M.Ed. in the concerned subject
High School Teachers who completed ten years of service in General Education Subordinate Service.
