Police Constable Notification: Eligibility Criteria

The interested candidates can check their eligibility. If eligible, apply online for the post as mentioned below.

Age Limit

The interested candidates should be between 18- 25 years. The upper age relaxation will be given to the eligible candidates according to the government norms.

• OBC and EBC Males- 27 years
• OBC and EBC Females- 28 years
• SC and ST- 30 years

The age of applicants will be calculated as of 01/08/2020. And it will be the same as the date of birth given on the matriculation certificate.

Educational Qualification

The minimum qualification required for the applicant is that he/ she should have completed the intermediate( Plus two). Also, those who have completed the +2 from Bihar State Madrasa Education Board or Bihar State Sanskrit Shiksha Board or other equivalents recognized by the State Government.

The police constable post comes under pay level 3. And the salary for them is between Rs. 21,700 — 69,100/-.

Police Constable Notification: Application Procedure

• Only online mode of applications will be accepted.
• Log on to the official website.
• Applicants have to enter their name Address, Nationality, Phone number, E-mail ID, Domicile, Date of Birth, etc..
• After submission applicants will receive a registration number and password.
• After that can log in using the registration number and password and complete the application procedures.
• However, the registration for the same is closed now!

Application fees

• For General category, BC and EBC (both Male and Female Candidates)- Rs.450/-  Only
• For SC, ST (both Male and Female Candidates)- Rs. 112/- Only

Exam Pattern

The selection procedure consists of:

• Written test
• Physical Examination and/or Physical Efficiency Test
• Document verification and Medical Test

Written test

This will be the preliminary phase of the selection. All the applications which are found in order will receive the admit card for the exam. The admit card can be downloaded from the CSBC official site.

The written exam consists of 100 questions for 100 marks. That is each question carries one mark. The exam duration will be for two hours. The exam will be OMR based objective examination.

The candidates securing less than 30%  will be ineligible for the physical efficiency test.

Physical Examination and/or Physical Efficiency Test

The PET will be out of 100 marks.

Race– Maximum marks 50

• For all category males- 1.6 Kms in 6 minutes( maximum)
• For all category females- 1 Km in 5 minutes( maximum)

Shot Put– Maximum marks 25

• For all category males- 16-pound ball. Minimum distance to be covered- 16 feet
• For all category females- 12-pound ball. Minimum distance to be covered- 12 foot

High Jump– Maximum marks 25

• For all category males- Minimum height 4 feet
• For all category females- Minimum height 3 feet

The candidates not meeting these will be disqualified. The marks will be awarded according to the distance covered or according to the time.

Attempt a full-length mock test for Constable exam 2020.

The successful candidates will be called for medical test and document verification. And, the final merit list will be prepared.
