AYUSH Minister announces expansion of NEIAFMR
The Union Minister of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal has announced the expansion of the North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda and Folk Medicine Research (NEIAFMR) in Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh. The new infrastructure will be developed in the campus to continue the focused approach in developing the AYUSH sector in the entire North East area of the country. The Ministry has also announced an investment of Rupees 53.72 crores to develop new infrastructure within the campus. This expansion will help in employment and also other educational opportunities for the students in India.
Additional Expansion Details
A new Ayurveda college with 30 seats and a new Ayurveda hospital with 60 beds will be established under this expansion announced by the Ministry at the North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda and Folk Medicine Research at Pasighat in Arunachal Pradesh. Employment opportunities will also be provided through the development of this expansion created by the Ministry and 86 vacant positions will be created which will be filled through direct employment. All of this will be managed by the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India.
