The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has issued an advertisement for the engagement of full time Consultant in Japanese at the School of Foreign Languages. As per the advertisement, the positions will be initially for a period of six months and extendable further as per the requirement of the University.

The nature of work at IGNOU would involve activities pertaining to design, development and delivery of academic programmes from certificate to PG Level. It would include writing, editing and revision of course material, preparation of Audio/Visual material, conducting interactive counselling through radio, television, social media platforms, coordination with Regional Centres (RCs) and Learner Support Centres (LSCs), learners/stakeholders and assisting the Faculty/Programme Coordinator in day to day activities related to course development and its maintenance. Essential Qualifications:

Master’s degree in the concerned language with minimum 55% marks (for General Category) or minimum 50% marks (for Reserved Category).

Desirable:

NET in the concerned subject Ph.D. in the concerned language/ area with 02 years of teaching experience. Research publications in the concerned language/area, knowledge of ICT based teaching/learning, Design, development and delivery of MOOCs in the concerned language/area.

Salary Details

Candidates who will be selected will be receiving about 40k to 60k as per the IGNOU norms.
