The CLAT 2022 exam which was supposed to be held on May 8th, 2022 is now postponed to Sunday June 19th, 2022. The last date to submit the application form too has also been extended till May 9th, 2022. This was decided in a meeting held by the Executive Committee of the Consortium of National Law Universities on 14th March 2022.
Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is the entrance exam for the prestigious National Law Universities (NLUs). These programmes are offered by 22 National Law Universities around the country.

CLAT Exam Date 2022
According to the recent announcement by NLU, CLAT 2022 will be conducted on Sunday 19th June, 2022 between 2 PM and 4 PM for both UG and PG programmes. This exam was earlier scheduled to be held on 8th May, 2022. The last date for online application has also been extended to 9th May 2022. It was earlier supposed to close on 31st March 2022.
CLAT 2023 will be held on December 18, 2022. Candidates should confuse it for CLAT 2022. Even though they are conducted in the same year, these are exam for admissions in separate sessions.
The exam will be conducted in 82 cities and 147 test centers across the country. Candidates should check their Admit Cards for information regarding exam center.

CLAT Exam Pattern 2022
The exam will be conducted in offline mode. This is a pen and paper mode exam. The Examination Pattern is different for UG (undergraduate) and PG (post graduate) courses.
CLAT 2022 UG Exam Pattern
- The duration of the exam will be 2 hours (120 minutes).
- The paper will consist of 150 questions for 150 marks.
- All the questions in the Exam will be Multiple Choice Types (MCQs).
- 1 mark will be awarded for each correct answer and for each incorrect answer 0.25 marks will be deducted.
- There will be no negative marking for unattended questions.
- The Exam will consist of 5 sections namely English Language, Current Affairs including General Knowledge, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Techniques.

- The paper will consist of 120 questions for 120 marks.
- All the questions in the Exam will be Multiple Choice Types (MCQs).

- The questions asked will be from Constitutional Law, Jurisprudence, Administrative Law, Law of Contract, Torts, Family Law, Criminal Law, Property Law, Company Law, Public International Law, Tax Law, Environmental Law, Labour, and Industrial Law.

CLAT 2022 Admit Card Date
The admit card will be released online. Candidates can download the admit card of CLAT 2022 only from the official website of CLAT www.clat.ac.in. The admit card will carry details like the date and time of the exam, reporting time, name and address of allotted CLAT 2022 exam center, and the roll number. On the day of the exam, the candidate needs to report at the CLAT 2022 exam center as per the reporting time. Any discrepancy in the admit card must be communicated to the authority without any delay.
CLAT 2022 Results
The result of CLAT 2022 test will be released online. Candidates can check the result by visiting the official website. CLAT result will be displayed in form of a merit list. Those who have qualified will undergo the counselling process where a seats will be allotted to them by the authority.
