Telangana Police Constable Salary
Candidates recruited as Police constable by Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board will be paid a handsome salary in the scale of Rs. 24280 to Rs. 72850.
Telangana Police Constable Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must go through the notification and ensure that they satisfy all the criteria laid down by the Board. Applications of those who do not meet the criteria will be rejected.
Age Limit
Applicants must be of minimum 18 years of age and must not have attained the age of 22 years as on 1st July, 2022. i.e., must have been born not earlier than 2nd July, 2000 and not later than 1st July, 2004. Relaxation in upper age limit is applicable as follows:
- Telangana State Government Employees: Length of regular service subject to a maximum period of five.
- Ex-Servicemen (Served in Army/ Navy/ Air Force/ Territorial Army): Three years in addition to the
length of Service rendered in the Armed Forces. - NCC Instructor (rendered a minimum service of 6 months as a whole time Cadet Corps Instructor in NCC): Three years in addition to the length of Service rendered in the NCC.
- SC, ST, BC and EWS category: 5 years
- Retrenched temporary employee in the State Census Department with a minimum service of 6 months during 1991: 3 years

Educational Qualification
Applicants must have passed Intermediate or its equivalent examination recognized by the State Government as on 1st July 2022.
Medical Standards
Eye Sight
Both eye should have the following vision:
- Distant Vision : 6/6
- Near Vision : 0/5 (Snellen)
Color blindness, squint or any morbid condition of the eye or lids of either eye shall be deemed to be a disqualification.
Physical Standards
Candidate should possess sound health and be free from any bodily defect. Physically handicapped, Knocking-Knees, Pigeon Chest, Flat Foot, Varicose Veins, Hammer Toes, Fractured Limbs, Decayed Teeth, Stammering, Hard of Hearing and Abnormal Psychological Behavior will be considered as disability. Candidates are advised to have themselves examined by a Civil Surgeon before applying for the examination to ensure that they meet the prescribed physical and medical standards.
Application Fee
Those who are applying for the post of Police Constable will have to pay a certain fee towards Registration of the Application, Processing of Application, Conduct of Tests and Examinations, Maintenance of Portal etc. The fee for different categories are as follows:
- OC and BC Candidates with local status of Telangana State: Rs. 800
- SC and ST Candidates who are Local to Telangana State: Rs. 400
- All other Candidates: Rs. 400
How to Pay the Application Fee?
- Candidates have to register on the TSLPRB Website – www.tslprb.in by using their mobile number as his / her User ID and then choose the notifications and posts that he / she would like to apply for. The fee payable will be determined based on the posts he / she applies for. Candidates are advised to provide such Mobile Number as their Login ID which will be in use throughout the process of recruitment.
- The fee can be paid by using Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking or any other mode made available on the TSLPRB Website.
- After making the payment, candidate has to visit the website www.tslprb.in to submit the online application form.

Telangana Police Constable Application Process
- Candidates have to ensure that they satisfy all the eligibility criteria before proceeding with the application process.
- The online application form is in 2 parts i.e., Part I and Part II.
- Candidates have to first fill up Model Application Form (Part-I) provided in the official website www.tslprb.in. This will help them in filling the Online Application without any omissions, based on the relevant certificates.
- Candidates have to first register using their mobile number as user ID.
- Select the Post(s) for which he / she wants to apply.
- Ensure that the application fee has been paid.
- Candidates can use the “Apply Online” in the main menu to fill his / her Application Form
online. Fill Part-I of the application form. - Scan and upload copy of passport, photograph and specimen signature as one file. Size of the photo should not exceed 50kb and the file should be in jpg/ jpeg format.
- No relevant column of the Application Form should be left blank; if left blank, the Application Form will not be accepted.
- Submit the application form and take a print out.
Once the candidates qualify in the Preliminary Written Test (PWT), they will have to visit the official website to upload Part-II of the Application Form along with scanned copies of the following Certificates / Documents.
- SSC / Matriculation Certificate or its equivalent Certificate in support of Date of Birth.
- Intermediate Certificate or its equivalent examination Certificate.
- Community Certificate issued by the Competent Authority of Government of Telangana State for Age relaxation (if applicable).
- Service Certificate by those Employees / Candidates who are in Telangana State Government Service for claiming Age relaxation.
- In case of Widow, Death Certificate of her husband together with the Affidavit duly notarized, that she has not re-married since, for claiming Age relaxation.
- Certified copy of the Judgment / Decree in case of Divorced Women / judicially separated together with the Affidavit duly notarized that she has not re-married since, for claiming Age relaxation.
- Study / Bonafide / Residence Certificates.

Telangana Police Constable Selection Process
The selection process will be as follows:
Preliminary Written Test (PWT): All the eligible registered Candidates shall be required to appear for the Preliminary Written Test. It will be a three hour paper of 200 marks. The paper will consist of 200 questions. Questions shall be objective in nature and shall be set in English, Telugu and Urdu languages. For every correct answer, candidates shall be awarded full marks and 20% of full marks shall be awarded as negative mark for every wrong answer. The minimum marks to be secured by the candidates in order to qualify in the Preliminary Written Test paper is 30% for all categories.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Measurement Test (PMT): Those who qualify in the Preliminary Written Test will receive an intimation letter for PET. The details of venue, date and time of PET will be mentioned in the intimation letter which can be downloaded from the official website.
A 1600 meters / 800 meters run event will be conducted as a part of PET. Male candidates should complete the event within a maximum time of 7 minutes 15 seconds to qualify. For Ex-Servicemen, the
maximum time is 9 minutes 30 seconds. Female candidates must qualify in 800 meters run within a maximum time of 5 minutes 20 seconds.
Those who qualify in the Physical Efficiency Test will have to undergo Physical Measurement Test. The height requirements are as follows:
- Male: Must not be less than 167.6 cm
- Female: Must not be less than 152.5 cm
Once the candidates qualify in the Physical Measurement Test, they will have to continue with the PET.

Final Written Examination (FWE): Candidates who qualify in the above Physical Efficiency Test shall be
required to appear for the Final Written Examination. Depending upon the post, it will be a 100 or 200 mark paper for a duration of 3 hours. The minimum marks to be secured by the Candidates in order to qualify in the Final Written Examination is 40% for OCs, 35% for BCs and 30% for SCs / STs / Ex-Servicemen. Questions shall be objective in nature and shall be set in English, Telugu and Urdu languages.
