The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) has officially released notification for the West Central Railway (WCR) recruitment 2022 examination. Around 121 vacancies are to be filled by qualified candidates as per the notification. Interested and eligible candidates shall apply on the official website (www.wcr.indianrailways.gov.in) to various WRC NTPC (Non-Technical Popular Categories) posts – Accounts Clerk cum Typist and Junior Clerk cum Typist Posts, Station Master, Station Commercial cum Ticket, and Senior Clerk cum Typist, Commercial cum Ticket Clerk.
From 08 July 2022 to 28 July 2022, online applications are invited from eligible and regular employees (except RPF). For NTPC Graduate posts, a total of 55 vacancies are available and for NTPC 12th Pass, a total of 66 vacancies are available. RRC WCR Recruitment 2022: Eligibility Criteria
The RRC WCR recruitment examination 2022 eligibility criteria for the various posts includes several factors such as age limit, educational qualification,n and nationality of the candidates applying. The candidate must be an Indian citizen. The other eligibility criteria to be met by the candidates for the various posts are as follows:
- Educational Qualification
a) NTPC Graduate Post (Station Master, Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, and Senior Clerk cum Typist): The candidate must have a minimum educational qualification of a University Degree or its equivalent.
b) NTPC 12th Pass (Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, and Junior Clerk cum Typist): The candidate must have a minimum educational qualification of 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination.
- Age Limit
Reckoned as of 01-07-2022, the lower age limit for candidates of all categories is 18 years. The upper age limit for candidates of different categories is provided in the table given below:

There is no age relaxation allowed for candidates of Non-Creamy Layer (SC/ST/OBC) categories against unreserved candidates.
RRC WCR Recruitment 2022: Application Process
Eligible candidates interested to apply for the RRC WCR Recruitment 2022 examination shall follow the steps given below to complete the application process:
- Step 1: Visit the official website of WCR: www.wcr.indianrailways.gov.in.
- Step 2: Scroll down the page till you find the “GDCE Notification No: 01/2022” link.
- Step 3: Now, click on the “New Registration” link.
- Step 4: The candidate must fill in the employee number (11 digits) and date of birth. Click “continue.”
- Step 5: Provide basic details by entering personal information, e-mail address, and mobile phone number.
- Step 6: Log in using your credentials (registration number and password the candidate has received via e-mail/SMS).
- Step 7: Candidates are then required to upload a scanned copy of their photograph, self-attested certificates proving their date of birth, education/technical qualifications, and caste (SC/ST/OBC).
- Step 8: Click on the ‘Submit’ option to complete the application. Take a printout of the application for future reference.

RRC WCR Recruitment 2022: Selection Process
The selection process for the RRC WCR recruitment is conducted through a Computer-Based Test (CBT). The CBT Test will be followed by an AAptitudeTest or Typing Test according to the requirements of the post applied by the candidate. There will be negative marking for the CBT test with a deduction of 1/3rd of the allotted marks will be done for each incorrect answer. However, there will be no negative marking for the Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT).
The minimum percentage of marks for eligibility for candidates belonging to different categories is given in the table below:
