Railway Teacher Eligibility Criteria 2025
1: The first recipient of the ‘Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna’ award?
In order to apply for the recruitment of Teachers i.e. PRT, TGT and PGT under the Indian Railways, a candidate must meet the certain eligibility criterias in terms of educational qualification and age limit.
Educational Qualification:
- PRT: Intermediate from a school recognised by the CBSE, CISCE, UPMSP, BSEB, or any other State Board, and additionally 2-years DElEd or 4-years BElEd from an institution recognised by the NCTE.
- TGT:
- Graduation from a university recognized by the UGC, and additionally 2-year DElEd/BEd or 3-years BEd.MEd from an NCTE-recognized institution, and have passed the CTET for Paper-II, or
- Intermediate from a school recognised by the CBSE, CISCE, or any State Board, additionally, 4-year BA.BEd, BSc.BEd or BElEd from NCTE-recognized institution and passed the CTET for Paper-II.
- PGT: Post-graduation from an university recognized by the UGC, and additionally 2-years BEd, 4-years BA.BEd or BSc.BEd, or 3-years BEd.MEd from an institution recognised by the NCTE.
Age Limit:
- PRT: 18 to 48 Years
- TGT: 21 to 48 Years
- PGT: 23 to 48 Years
The cut off date to calculate the age is January 01, 2025, the upper age relaxation is applicable for 3 years and 5 years for OBC-NCL, and SC/ST, respectively. There is an additional upper age relaxation of 10 years for the PwBD.
