Scientist B (R&D)	M.Sc. in Physics/ Chemistry/Materials Science OR B.E./ B.Tech. in Metallurgical/ Materials/ Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University.
Technical Officer A	M.Sc. in Physics/ Chemistry/ Analytical Chemistry/ Materials Science OR B.E./ B.Tech. in Metallurgical/ Materials/ Electrical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University. Prior Scientific/Technical/Industrial experience in a laboratory/shopfloor. Candidates with experience in operation & maintenance of Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM)/Chemical Analysis & Corrosion studies/Sol preparations/Operation & maintenance of Electrical substations will have an added advantage.
Technical Assistant A	B.Sc. in Physical Sciences (Physics/ Chemistry as one of the subjects) OR three (3) years full time Diploma in Mechanical/Metallurgical /Electrical Engineering from a recognized University/ recognized Board of Technical Education of Central or State Government. Prior technical experience in industry/R&D laboratories. Good interpersonal & communication skills and ability to multi-task will be an added advantage.
Technician A	(i) Matriculation/10th pass; (ii) 2 years full-time ITI in Electrical/Fitter trade from a recognized Board of Technical Education of Central or State Government; and (iii) 3 years technical experience in Industry/R&D laboratories. Good interpersonal & communication skills and ability to multi-task will be an added advantage.
Driver	(i) Matriculation/10th pass/SSC. (ii) Possession of valid driving license to drive light and heavy vehicles. (iii) Knowledge of motor mechanism and the candidate should be able to rectify/ remove minor defects in vehicles. AND (iv) Experience of driving a light vehicle for atleast 3 years and heavy vehicle for atleast 6 years. (i) Good interpersonal & communication skills (in Hindi/English/Telugu) and ability to multi-task Motor Transport and any allied activities. (ii) shall be able maintain vehicle and fuel log books and cleanliness of the vehicles.

Age Limit

ARCI Recruitment 2022- Selection Process

A Committee as constituted by the Competent Authority, ARCI will screen the applications, taking into account the academic performance. The Screened-in/ short-listed candidates will be called for Personal Interview/ undergo Competitive Written Examination. The number of candidates to be called for trade/skill test from among the candidates of the merit list prepared based on the marks secured in CWE will be upto 6 times the number of vacancies to be filled-in.

The first half of the presentation shall highlight achievements of the research work carried out by the candidate in the last few years, while the second part should describe the research proposal and how his/her expertise is suited for implementing the proposal. A separate questionnaire form for research proposal submission will be mailed to shortlisted candidates.
Scientist B (R&D), Technical Officer A	Selection through Personal Interview
Technical Assistant “A”, Technician “A” and Driver “A”	Seletion will be through Competitive Written Examination (CWE) followed by Trade test/ Skill test and Driving Test (Driving test for Driver post) for the Screened-in/ Shortlisted candidates.

ARCI Recruitment 2022- Exam Pattern

Final Selection for Technical Assistant “A” and Technician “A”: The final selection will be purely, based on the marks secured by the candidates in Competitive Written Examination only, subject to clearing Trade/ Skill test.
Final Selection for Driver “A”: The final selection of Driver will based on 40% weightage of marks secured in Competitive Written Examination AND 60% weightage of marks secured in Driving test & minor repairs.

ARCI Recruitment 2022- Job Description

SCIENTIST “G” Post : The candidate is expected to spearhead a major programme in any one of the areas of Laser Processing of Materials/Surface Coatings/Metallurgical & Materials Processing, providing expert guidance in the areas as mentioned above, especially metallurgical aspects.

SCIENTIST “B” (R&D) Post : The candidates are required to work in any of the ongoing R&D projects in the broad areas of Ceramics, nanomaterials, energy materials etc,. OR in the field of Materials Characterization & Testing OR Electrical maintenance.

TECHNICAL OFFICER “A” Post : The candidates are required to work in any of the ongoing R&D projects in the broad areas of Sol-gel Coatings, Ceramics, nanomaterials, energy materials etc,. OR in the field of Materials Characterization & Testing or Electrical maintenance.

TECHNICAL ASSISTANT “A” Post : The candidate will be attached to one of the Centres of Excellence to assist and provide technical support to the Scientific & Technical Staff in R&D projects/
programmes OR Electrical maintenance. He/She shall be required to operate & maintain R&D equipment, instruments and look after the laboratory facilities or electrical maintenance. Shall also assist in any other allied works as assigned by the superiors from time to time.

TECHNICIAN “A” Post : The candidate will be attached to one of the Centres of Excellence. He/She shall provide assistance to the Scientific & Technical staff in field of Electrical maintenance, operation & maintenance of R&D equipment instruments. He/She Shall be responsible for timely cleanliness of laboratory facilities. Initially, depending on the work requirements, selected candidates may be attached to any non-technical section/centre and shall be ready to take up any work other than technical works.

Driver “A” Post : The candidate will be required to drive either light or heavy vehicles or both,
depending on the requirements. Shall be able to attend minor repair works and perform the duties on holidays/odd hours (if required).
