BEML Management Trainee (MT) Eligibility Criteria 2025

Educational Qualification:

• Mechanical (MT-01): Candidates must have a full-time, first-class degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university or institution.
• Electrical (MT-02): Candidates must have a full-time, first-class degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university or institution.
• Note: Candidates from allied branches of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering can also apply for the respective posts. Electronics engineers are eligible to apply under Electrical.

Age Limit:

• Maximum age: 29 years as on the last date of application submission.

Minimum Marks:

• Candidates should have secured at least 60% marks in their graduation.
• Relaxation: SC/ST candidates are eligible for a 5% relaxation, i.e., minimum 55% marks.
• Candidates with CGPA or credit system must provide the formula for converting CGPA to percentage as per university norms.
• Other Conditions:
• Candidates must ensure that they meet all eligibility requirements before applying.
• Providing incorrect information or not fulfilling the criteria at any stage may lead to cancellation of candidature.

BEML MT Selection Process 2025, Training & Service Bond

Selection Process:

• Shortlisted candidates will appear for a computer-based written test (2 hours). The test covers:

  • Domain knowledge (Mechanical or Electrical as per post applied)

  • Reasoning and English ability

• Candidates who qualify will be called for a personal interview.
• Final selection is based on combined performance in the written test and interview.
• Provisionally selected candidates must undergo pre-employment medical examination. Appointment is subject to passing the medical standards set by BEML.

Training Period:

• Management Trainees will undergo a 1-year training program from the date of joining.
• On successful completion and assessment of suitability, they will be absorbed as Officer (Grade-II) in the same pay scale.
• Absorbed candidates receive one additional increment (3% of Basic Pay) and will be on probation for 1 year.

Service Bond:

• Selected Management Trainees must execute a service bond of 4 years including the training period.
• A security deposit of ₹4,000 per month for 47 months is deducted; the balance is collected in the final installment.
• Breach of the bond requires payment of liquidated damages of ₹2,00,000, and the security deposit will be forfeited.
• After successful completion of the bond period, the security deposit is refunded with interest.

BEML MT 2025 Salary Scale

Management Trainees at BEML start with a basic pay of ₹40,000/- per month during training, along with allowances under the cafeteria system, HRA or company accommodation, PF, gratuity, and performance-related pay. After training, they are absorbed as Officer (Grade-II) with a 3% increment on basic pay and a 1-year probation.
