CBSE or The Central Board of Secondary Education has published the CTET Notification 2022 along with all important dates and form-filling details. This is the 16th Edition of the CTET Exam for examining the aspirants for their teaching skills. Each year, Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is conducted two times at the national level for short listing individuals who want to secure a teaching job in the government sector. CTET Notification 2022 Out: Salary
Individuals after qualifying CTET 2022 Exam will be eligible to apply for teaching jobs for Classes 1 to 8 in Central Government Schools such as NVS and KVS and also few other Schools. The basic salary of teachers CTET qualified teachers will be between INR. 9300 to INR. 34800 as the basic pay. The net in-hand salary of a CTET-qualified teacher ranges from INR. 35000 to INR. 50000 per month.

CTET Notification 2022 Out: Eligibility
The Eligibility Criteria are different for selecting aspirants for the post of teacher for Classes 1 to 5 and for Classes 6 to 8. Let’s have a look at the Educational Qualification required by the aspirants for both these sections:
Educational Qualification requirements for Classes 1-5
An aspirant who has completed his/her Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam with a minimum of 50% marks and cleared or has attempted the final year exam of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration) OR
An aspirant who has completed his/her Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam securing a minimum of 45% marks and has cleared or attempted the final year exam of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration), according to the NCTE Regulations 2002. OR
An aspirant who has completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent test with a minimum of 50% marks and has completed or attempted the final year exam of Bachelor of Elementary Education (4 years duration). OR
An aspirant who has completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent test with a minimum of 50% marks and has cleared or written the final year exam of Diploma in Education (2 years duration). OR
An aspirant who has a Bachelor’s degree and has cleared or written the final year exam of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration).
Educational Qualification requirement for Classes 6-8
An aspirant who holds a Graduation degree and has passed or is sitting for the final year examination of a Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration). OR
An aspirant who has completed his/her Graduation degree with 50% marks and has cleared or is sitting for the final year exam of Bachelor in Education. OR
An aspirant who has completed his/her Graduation degree with 40% marks and has cleared or has attempted the final year exam of Bachelor in Education, according to NCTE regulations. OR
An aspirant who has passed Senior Secondary or its equivalent test with a minimum of 50% marks and has cleared or attempted the final year exam of 4 years duration Bachelor of Elementary Education. OR
An aspirant who has completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam with 50% marks and cleared or attempted the final year exam of B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed or B.A/B.Sc.Ed. OR
An aspirant who has a Graduation degree with 50% marks and has cleared or attempted in a B.Ed program of 1-year duration.
CTET Notification 2022: How to Apply?
Applications for CTET are to be submitted only by the eligible aspirants via the official portal. The following steps can be followed to submit an online application for CTET exam:
Step 1: Enter the official website of CTET i.e. ctet.nic.in.
Step 2: Click on the “Apply Online” link.
Step 3: Login Page will appear. If already registered on the portal, then directly login to fill in the application. If not then hit the “New Registration” link.
Step 4: Go through all the instructions carefully, mark the declaration and select the “Proceed” button.
Step 5: The registration form will appear. Enter the details like the Personal details, a ddress, password,contact details, security pin etc and click on submit button.
Step 6: Once the registration is complete. Note down and save the login details created for further logins.
Step 7: Now proceed to fill the details in the application form. Fill all the entry carefully.
Step 8: Upload the scanned images of all the requested documents in the format prescribed.
Step 9: Make a payment of fee using the appropriate payment method available.
Step 10: Take a printout of the payment receipt and confirmation page for your record.
Application Fees
An aspirant belonging to either the General or OBC category is required to pay INR. 1000/- (if applying for either Paper I or Paper II) and INR. 1200/- (if applying for both papers). The same amount is reduced to INR. 600/- (if applying for either Paper I or Paper II) and INR. 600/- (if applying for both papers) for candidates belonging to SC/ST category.

Correction in CTET Application Form
Once the application form and application fee have been submitted, aspirants cannot make any changes to the application particulars. However, after the completion of the application submission, individuals are given a chance to make corrections or editing in some of the application particulars. The schedule will be shared by the board in a new notification. After the said date no request for correction in application particulars will be accepted.
Corrections can be made via online mode only. No offline request for correction will be accepted. Correction is permitted only in the following particulars- Name, mother name, father name, DOB (Date of Birth), category, Paper opted for, Differently abled category, Address, subject for Paper-II, name of the university/ college/ institute, center choice, etc.
CTET Notification 2022: Exam Pattern
CTET 2022 Exam will be held in 2 phases:
- Paper I
- Paper-II
Paper I is conducted for aspirants who have been looking forward to becoming teachers for Class 1 to 5 and Paper II is conducted for aspirants who aspire to become teachers for Class 6 to 8. Applicants also have the option to apply for both Paper-I and Paper-II. Questions asked in both Papers are Objective Multiple Choice Questions. A candidate is expected to score a minimum of 60% to qualify CTET 2022 Exam. One major aspect to note is that the CTET score 2022 is now valid for a lifetime as announced by CBSE.

Nature and standard of questions
- The test items on Child Development and Pedagogy will concentrate on the educational psychology of teaching and learning relevant to the age group of 6-11 years. They will concentrate on understanding the characteristics and needs of diverse learners, interaction with learners and the attributes and qualities of a good facilitator of learning.
- The Test items in Language I will concentrate on the proficiencies related to the medium of instruction.
- The Test items in Language II will concentrate on the elements of language, communication and comprehension abilities.
- Language II can be any language other than Language I. An aspirant may choose any one language as Language I and other as Language II from the available language options and will be required to specify the same in the Confirmation Page.

- The Test items in Maths and Environmental Studies will concentrate on the concepts, problem-solving abilities and pedagogical understanding and applications of the subjects. In all these subject areas, the test items will be evenly distributed over different divisions of the syllabus of that subject prescribed for classes 1 to 5 by the NCERT.
- The questions in the test for Paper I will depend on the topics as per the syllabus of the classes I – V NCERT syllabus, but their difficulty standard as well as linkages, could be up to the Secondary level.
CTET 2022 Syllabus
The revised CTET syllabus will be published shortly. When preparing to attempt for upcoming CTET 2022, the detailed Syllabus is the first and foremost requirement for a candidate, to begin with. CTET Syllabus is lengthy and focus on Child Development and Pedagogy which is one of the most important parts of the CTET exam. Other sections asked in CTET 2022 includes Maths, Science or Environmental Science, and Languages. Besides these, the aspirant has to be prepared with any 2 languages (from the list mentioned above)
Syllabus For CTET Paper-I: This covers topics of Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I and II, Maths, and EVS.
Syllabus For CTET Paper-II: This covers topics of Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I and II, Maths, Science, Social Studies. The aspirant has to choose anyone from Maths, Science or Social Studies as per their interest.
CTET Notification 2022: Certificate Validity
The validity of the CTET certificate for an appointment has been revised and now the certificate will remain valid throughout life of the individual. The revised validity has been made effective from 2011 as announced by the Education Minister and the aspirants whose certificates has expired can get their new certificate with no expiry. It has been declared that the States and Union territories will be responsible for revalidating or re-issue TET certificates to the aspirants whose period of 7 years has already expired (after 2011). Earlier, the validity of the CTET certificate was for 7 years (from the date of issue).
CTET Notification 2022 : Selection Process
Aspirants appearing for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) will be shortlisted on the basis of their score in the CTET Online Exam. CTET is an eligibility test only which means, qualifying CTET does not guarantee jobs to the individuals. They have to apply for recruitment at various schools based on the available vacancies which require CTET Certification for which the aspirants must score more or equal to 60% marks in order to get selected.
CTET Notification 2022: Key Points
In the press release, it was notified that “within the existing syllabus of CTET and structure of the question paper, the question papers will be designed to assess less of factual knowledge and more of conceptual understanding, application, reasoning, problem-solving and critical thinking focusing on the aspects mentioned below:
- To judge the teacher’s understanding of teaching their respective subject.
- To judge the futuristic teacher’s pedagogic content knowledge.
- To access their knowledge for the relevance of the subject in the school curriculum.
- Some questions will be added for understanding the planning of teaching-learning experiences.
- The question paper will be based on the assessment methodologies specific to the concept.
- A sample blueprint or sample question papers will be released by CBSE for making it easy for the aspirants to understand the revised format

CTET Notification 2022: Exam Centre

CTET 2022 Notification: Answer Key
CBSE will publish the provisional CTET Answer Key 2022 on the official website ctet.nic.in providing an opportunity to the aspirants to challenge or raise objections to the Provisional Answer Key. The subject experts will assess all the challenges received by the aspirants and then the final answer keys will be displayed on ctet.nic.in. The CTET Result will be published according to the final answer keys.

The declaration of results will be done by CBSE after the completion of the CTET exams. The CTET result will be declared within 4 weeks from the date of conduct of the exam. So the CTET 2022 Result will be declared tentatively after a month’s time.

CTET 2022 Notification: CTET Cut-Off
The aspirants appearing in CTET will be issued with a mark sheet. The aspirants securing 60% (General) and above marks will be issued an Eligibility Certificate for which the validity has been extended from 7 years to a lifetime.
School Management (Government, Local bodies, Government aided and unaided) may consider giving concessions to the individuals belonging to SC/ST, OBC, differently-abled persons, etc., in accordance with their extant reservation policy.
