Candidates aspiring to seek teaching opportunities in Delhi NCR attend the DSSSB Teacher Recruitment Examination. The eligibility of candidates applying for the examination will be based on the following criteria:
- The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
- The TGT post age limit is 32 and the PGT post age limit is 30.

Candidates applying for the DSSSB Teacher Recruitment exam must possess the following educational qualifications that differ according to various posts:
TGT (Maths) Male & Female:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 45 per cent aggregate marks in two school subjects with English/ Mathematics/ Natural or Physical Science/ Social Science as an elective subject + Degree or Diploma in training education + Working knowledge of Hindi (Studied Hindi as a subject up to class 8) + Qualified CTET from CBSE.
- For SC/ST/PH candidates and those who possess a postgraduate teaching degree in teaching subjects, the requirement of 45 per cent aggregate marks is eligible for relaxation.
TGT (English) Male & Female:
- BA (Honours) Or equivalent with 45 per cent aggregate marks in two school subjects of which at least one of the following should be at Elective level- English/ Mathematics/ Natural or Physical Science/ Social Science+Degree or Diploma in Training Education+Working knowledge of Hindi (Studied Hindi as a subject up to class 8)+Qualified CTET from CBSE.
- Requirement of 45 per cent aggregate marks is eligible for relaxation for SC/ST/PH candidates.
TGT (Sanskrit) Male & Female:
- BA (Honours) in concerned Modern Indian Language (MIL) or BA with concerned MIL as one of the elective subjects with 45 per cent aggregate marks and one additional language or school subject Or Equivalent oriental degree in MIL with 45 per cent aggregate marks+Degree or Diploma in teaching+Knowledge of Hindi (Studied Hindi as a subject up to class 8)+Qualified CTET from CBSE.
- Requirement of 45 per cent aggregate marks is eligible for relaxation for those who possess an MA degree in MIL and for SC/ST/PH candidates.
TGT (Punjabi) Male & Female:
- BA (Honours) in concerned Modern Indian Language (MIL) or BA with concerned MIL as one of the elective subjects with 45 per cent aggregate marks and one additional language or school subject Or Equivalent oriental degree in MIL with 45 per cent aggregate marks+Degree or Diploma in teaching+Knowledge of Hindi (Studied Hindi as a subject up to class 8)+Qualified CTET from CBSE.
- Requirement of 45 per cent aggregate marks is eligible for relaxation for those who possess an MA degree in MIL and for SC/ST/PH candidates.
TGT (Urdu) Male & Female:

TGT (Natural Science) Male & Female:

- The main subject for should be Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Botany, Zoology. The requirement of 45 per cent aggregate marks is eligible for relaxation for those who possess a post-graduate degree in teaching subjects and for SC/ST/PH candidates.
TGT (Bengali) Male:
- BA (Honours) in concerned Modern Indian Language (MIL) or BA with concerned MIL as one of the elective subjects with 45 per cent aggregate marks and one additional language or school subject Or Equivalent oriental degree in MIL with 45 per cent aggregate marks+Degree or Diploma in teaching+Working knowledge of Hindi (Studied Hindi as a subject up to class 8)+Qualified CTET from CBSE.
