Unfair Means Practices (UFM) refer to any activity that gives a candidate an unfair advantage over others during the examination. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Carrying prohibited items like stationery, communication devices, eatables, ornaments, or any material related or unrelated to the exam.
- Impersonation: Using someone else to write the exam or preparing material for copying.
- Helping or receiving help from other candidates in any form.
- Violating NESTS rules or instructions issued for ESSE-2025.
- Communicating with anyone other than exam staff during the exam.
- Threatening officials or candidates at the exam center.
- Using or attempting to use electronic devices during the exam.
- Manipulating online documents such as Admit Card, Self-Declaration, or application forms.
- Affixing wrong/morphed photographs or signatures on application forms or admit cards.
- Forceful entry or exit from the examination hall.
- Creating obstacles that disturb smooth and fair conduct of the examination.
- Any other malpractice declared as unfair by NESTS.
Punishment for Using Unfair Means
Candidates found indulging in UFM practices before, during, or after the exam will face strict action:
- Immediate disqualification from the examination.
- Cancellation of candidature under the Unfair Means (UFM) category.
- Criminal proceedings and/or other actions as deemed fit by authorities.
Result Cancellation for UFM Violations
If a candidate is found guilty of UFM practices, their ESSE-2025 result will be cancelled and will not be declared. Always read and follow the exam instructions carefully. Avoid any action that can be considered unfair, as NESTS has zero tolerance for malpractice.
