Greetings Aspirants!
Institute of Banking Personnel Selection conducts IBPS Regional Rural Bank Exam every year for the selection of candidates to the post of probationary officers and office assistants, to any of the 27 PSB’s (public sector banks) or 56 RRB (regional rural banks) across India. The IBPS RRB PO exam is held to fill multiple vacancies including officer scale-I, scale-II & scale-III. The IBPS SO exam is conducted to select candidates for specialist officer positions such as IT officer, Chartered Accountant, Law officer, Agricultural Officer, and Marketing Officer.
Vacancies:
The total number of vacancies for the IBPS RRB 2018 is 15260 with 8286 vacancies for the office assistant post.
IBPS RRB notification:
The notification for IBPS RRB 2018 Recruitment has been released and is available on the official website. The exam will be conducted in August 2018.
How to apply?
The candidates who are eligible and willing to apply for the exam can register online through the official website.
The online application will be closed by 2nd July 2018. The candidates can also pay the registration fees online.
The fee structure is as follows:
Officer (Scale I, II & III)
- Rs. 100/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates.
- Rs. 600/- for all others
Office Assistant (Multipurpose)
- Rs. 100/- for SC/ST/PWD/EXSM candidates.
- Rs. 600/- for all others
Eligibility
The candidate should be a graduate in any discipline to be eligible to apply for the exam.
There are preferable work experience requirements for certain posts.
Age limitations:
Scale III Officer – 21 to 40 years
Scale II Officer – 21 to 32 years.
Scale I Officer – 18 to 30 years.
Office Assistants –18 to 28 years.
There are also certain age relaxations for SC/ST, OBC, Ex-service, Handicapped etc.

Exam pattern
- All exams are online and consists of all objective type questions.
- Negative Marking: There is a deduction of 1/4th mark assigned to each question for every wrong answer.
- Questions are available both in English and Hindi except for language questions.
There are two exams for Office Assistants and Scale I Officer, Prelims and Mains. The final selection will be based on the main score alone.
The preliminary exam is of 45 minutes and consists of 80 questions mains is of a duration of 2 hours and consists of 200 questions.
Single stage exam pattern for Officers scale II and scale III :
Exam sections include:

Final selection will be based on single stage exam score and performance in interview.
How to prepare???

- The first thing to do is to have a clear idea about the exam syllabus and the type of questions that are going to appear.

The in-hand salary for officers and office assistants are as follows:

- Officer scale I — Rs. 29,000 – 33,000
- Officer scale II — Rs. 33,000 – 39,000
- Officer scale III – Rs. 38,000 – 44,000
