4. Exemptions from SET
- Candidates who have SLET for College Lecturers in Kerala are exempted.
- Candidates who have NET / JRF are exempted.

- Teachers with 10 years of approved high school teaching experience in General Education subordinate service are exempted.
5. Other Notes
- SC/ST/Differently-abled candidates get 5% relaxation in post-graduation marks (GO(MS) No.288/15/Gl.Edn dated 13.11.2015).
- Non-qualifying degrees (Ph.D, M.Phil, Postdoc) are given weightage marks for ranking.
- Degrees/diplomas must be from UGC-approved universities or institutions established by Parliament/State legislation (GO(M.S) No.526/PD dated 17.07.1965).
- Differences in original caste/community vs. SSLC must be supported by Gazette notification and community/Non-Creamy Layer certificate at verification.
