Kerala PSC has officially announced 03 (Three) existing vacancies for the post of Higher Secondary School Teacher (HSST) in Geology under the Kerala Higher Secondary Education Department. The ranked list prepared for this notification will remain valid for a minimum period of one year and may continue up to three years, or until a new list is published. Appointments will be made from this list against current and future reported vacancies during its validity period.

- Eligible DOB: 02.01.1985 to 01.01.2005 (both inclusive)
- Upper age relaxation up to 43 years for qualified Ministerial Staff of Higher Secondary Education Department
- Other age relaxations as per KS & SSR Part II
Educational Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Geology with minimum 50% marks from a Kerala University or equivalent

- Must have passed State Eligibility Test (SET) conducted by Govt. of Kerala
- SET exemptions apply as per rules
B.Ed Exemptions & Special Provisions
- M.Ed holders in concerned subject are exempted from B.Ed
- In absence of B.Ed holders, candidates with Master’s Degree + SET can be appointed
- Such appointees must acquire B.Ed within 5 years at own expense

Kerala PSC HSST Geology 2026 – Selection & Ranking Process
The selection for HSST Geology will follow a direct recruitment process through these stages:
- Written/OMR/Online Test – Candidates must confirm participation via their OTR profile. Only confirmed candidates can download Admission Tickets in the last 15 days before the exam. Applications without confirmation will be rejected. Dates will be notified in the Examination Calendar and candidates’ profiles.
- Document Verification – Shortlisted candidates must produce all relevant certificates, including educational qualifications, age, and community certificates.
- Interview (if applicable) – Candidates may be evaluated on academic credentials, experience, and subject knowledge.
Ranked List Validity: The Ranked List will remain in force for 1 year minimum and up to 3 years, with appointments made against existing and newly reported vacancies.

Step 1: One Time Registration (OTR)
- All candidates must register through the One Time Registration (OTR) system on the official Kerala PSC website: www.keralapsc.gov.in.

Step 2: Upload Photograph
- New registrants must upload a recent passport-sized photograph taken within the last six months.

- Once uploaded and meeting all requirements, the photograph remains valid for 10 years.
