Kerala PSC HSST Geology Selection Process 2026 – Recruitment Details
The selection for the post of Higher Secondary School Teacher (HSST) in Geology will be carried out through a direct recruitment process consisting of the following stages:

Written/OMR/Online Test

If a written or online test is conducted, candidates must confirm their participation through their One Time Registration (OTR) profile.

Only those who submit the confirmation can generate and download the Admission Ticket during the last 15 days before the exam.

Failure to confirm within the stipulated period will result in rejection of the application.

Dates for confirmation submission and Admission Ticket download will be published in the Kerala PSC Examination Calendar, with notifications sent to the candidate’s profile and registered mobile number.

Educational Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Geology with minimum 50% marks from a Kerala University or equivalent recognized qualification
- B.Ed Degree in Geology preferred; if unavailable, B.Ed in concerned faculty or any subject (as per Kerala University norms)
- SET Qualification: Must have passed State Eligibility Test (SET) conducted by Government of Kerala or authorized agency
Exemptions from SET
- NET/JRF qualified candidates
- SLET (College Lecturer) qualified candidates
- Ph.D / M.Phil / M.Ed holders (subject to conditions)
- HS teachers with 10 years approved service
Special Provisions
- Candidates without B.Ed may be appointed if SET qualified, but must acquire B.Ed within 5 years
- 5% PG marks relaxation for SC/ST and Differently Abled candidates
- M.Ed holders are exempted from B.Ed requirement

The Kerala PSC has reported 03 vacancies for the HSST Geology post. The recruitment will follow a ranked list system, valid for one year minimum and extendable up to three years.
