1. Age Limit
- Age Range: 20-40 years as of January 1, 2024.
- Relaxation: Up to 43 years for Ministerial Staff in Higher Secondary Education. SC, ST, and OBC candidates are eligible for usual age relaxation.
2. Educational Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Physics with at least 50% marks from a recognized university.
- B.Ed. in Physics, or an equivalent qualification. If not available, B.Ed. in a related subject is accepted.
- M.Sc.Ed in Physics from NCERT recognized institutes is also acceptable.
3. State Eligibility Test (SET)
- Must have passed SET for Higher Secondary School Teacher (Physics).
- Exemptions: SLET, Ph.D., M.Phil., Post Doctoral Fellowship, or 10 years teaching service at High School level.
4. Non-Qualifying Degrees (Weightage Marks)
- M.Phil. – 2 marks
- Ph.D. – 4 marks
- Both M.Phil. and Ph.D. – 5 marks
- Post Doctoral Fellowship – 2 marks
- Weightage applies only if earned by the last date of application.
