Kerala PSC Non-Vocational Teacher Chemistry Eligibility Criteria 2026
1. Age Limit:
Candidates must be between 23 and 40 years. Only those born between 02.01.1985 and 01.01.2002 are eligible. Age relaxation applies for SC/ST and Other Backward Communities as per government rules.
2. Educational Qualification:
- Postgraduate Degree: Master’s in Chemistry with at least 50% marks from a Kerala University or equivalent. SC/ST and Differently Abled candidates get 5% relaxation.

If no candidates are available, B.Ed in the concerned faculty is accepted.

Candidates with a Master’s degree (≥50%) and SET qualified will be considered; preference given to Ph.D/M.Phil/JRF/NET holders. They must acquire B.Ed within 5 years.

Candidates with M.Ed in the subject are exempted from B.Ed.

3. State Eligibility Test (SET):
- Must have passed SET for Non-Vocational Teacher in Kerala.
Exemptions:
- College Lecturer SET
- HSST SET
- NET/JRF
- Ph.D/M.Phil/M.Ed in the concerned subject (if recognized by Kerala Universities)
- Candidates who submitted Ph.D thesis and passed M.Phil may also be exempted as per UGC norms.
