It is a network of research and academic institutions working in the area of food and nutrition. The network comprised of eight groups of institutions working in different areas viz. biological, chemical, nutrition and labelling, food of animal origin, food of plant origin, water & beverages, food testing, and safer and sustainable packaging. - Social Awareness and Action to Neutralise Pneumonia Successfully (SAANS)
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has launched the campaign SAANS. This scheme aims to reduce child mortality due to pneumonia and to mobilise people to protect children from pneumonia, and train health personnel and other stakeholders to provide prioritised treatment to control the disease. - Surakshit Matritva Aashwasan (SUMAN)
SUMAN has launched to provide quality healthcare at zero cost to pregnant women, new mothers and newborns. Under the SUMAN scheme, the beneficiaries visiting public health facilities are entitled to at least four antenatal check-ups, at least one checkup under Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan, Iron Folic Acid
supplementation, Tetanus Diptheria injection. - Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI) 2.0
The government launched the ‘Intensified Mission Indradhanush 2.0’ with special attention on improving coverage in areas with “low” immunisation. Through IMI 2.0 focus will be given on urban, tribal, and underserved population. IMI 2.0 will include four rounds of vaccination, which will cover the vaccines for measles, tetanus, diphtheria, whooping cough, Hepatitis B, tuberculosis (Tb), meningitis and poliomyelitis. - Food Safety Mitra (FSM) scheme
Food Safety Mitra (FSM) scheme is to strengthening and scaling up ‘Eat Right India’ movement. Through this scheme, the government aims to support small and medium-scale food businesses to comply with food safety laws. - National Digital Health Blueprint
The government released National Digital Health Blueprint which aims to create National Digital Health Eco- System. National Digital Health Blueprint (NHDB) lays out the ‘building blocks’ for the implementation of the National Health Stack (NHS), which aims to deploy Artificial Intelligence (AI) in leveraging health records. - “LaQshya” (Labour room Quality improvement Initiative)
The Indian government has launched “LaQshya” to improve the quality of care in the labour room and maternity operation theatres in public health facilities.

Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare
- Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN)
The scheme was started to support all farmers across the country, to enable them to take care of the farming expenses and allied activities as well as domestic needs. Under the PM-KISAN an amount of Rs.6000/- per year is transferred in three 4-monthly instalments of Rs.2000/- directly into the accounts of the farmers, subject to certain exclusion criteria relating to the higher-income status. - Participatory Guarantee Scheme (PGS)
PGS is a process of certifying organic products, which ensures that their production takes place under laid-down quality standards. The certification is in the form of a statement or a documented logo. - Mission Organic Value Chain Development for North Eastern Region (MOVCDNER) The scheme aims at the development of certified organic production in a value chain model. MOVCDNER aims to link growers with consumers and to support the development of entire value chain starting from inputs, certification, seeds and creation of facilities for collection, aggregation, processing, marketing and brand building initiative. MOVCDNER scheme is implemented in the States of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.

Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship
- Skills Build platform
The Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Ministry launch the Skills Build platform in Collaboration
with IBM. Under the Skills Build platform, a two-year advanced diploma in IT, networking and cloud
computing, co-created and designed by the IBM, will be offered at the Industrial Training
Institutes (ITIs) and the National Skill Training Institutes (NSTI). - SANKALP
SANKALP is an outcome-focused scheme marking the shift in government’s implementation strategy
in vocational education and training from inputs to results. It will provide market relevant training to 3.5 crore youngsters.
Central Government Schemes: Ministry of Human Resources Development
- School Health Ambassador Initiative
This initiative aims to spread awareness about preventive health aspects. It has been launched as a part of Ayushman Bharat. It will be jointly run by the Health and Human Resources Development ministries. This initiative is linked with other government initiatives such as the Eat Right campaign, Fit India movement and Poshan Abhiyaan for the overall development of children’s health. - NISHTHA– National Initiative for School Heads and Teachers Holistic Advancement
It is the world’s largest teachers’ training programme of its kind in the world. The NISHTHA has been launched to improve Learning Outcomes at the Elementary level and to motivate and equip teachers to encourage and foster critical thinking in students. - Pradhan Mantri Innovative Learning Programme- ‘DHRUV’
It is a 14-day learning programme, was launched recently from the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). Under this scheme every student to be called ‘DHRUV TARA’. It will select 60 students, 30 each from Science and Performing Arts discipline, for this ambitious programme in the first batch. “DHRUV” programme kickstart with a tour at ISRO followed by a stay in Delhi, where the selected
students will be mentored by renowned experts. - National Educational Alliance for Technology (NEAT) Scheme
This Scheme aims to use better technology for better learning outcomes in Higher Education. The NEAT scheme aims to use Artificial Intelligence to make learning more personalised and customised as per the requirements of the learner. - Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements (ARIIA) ARIIA considers all major indicators which are commonly used globally to rank most innovative
education institutions in the world. This ranking will focus on the quality of innovations and will try to measure the real impact created by these innovations nationally and internationally. - Scheme for Trans-disciplinary Research for India’s Developing Economy (STRIDE) Stride aims to boost research culture in India. Through STRIDE government will provide support for the research capacity building as well as basic, applied and transformational action research that can contribute to national priorities with special focus on the inclusive human development.

Ministry of Women and Child Development
- Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) PMMVY is a maternity benefit. It is erstwhile Indira Gandhi Matritva Sahyog Yojana (IGMSY). PMMVY scheme is a conditional cash transfer scheme for pregnant and lactating women.
- Poshan Maah (National Nutrition Month) Through the Poshan Maah programme the government aims to utilize the technology. With help of technology targeted approach and convergence strive to reduce the level of Stunting, Under-nutrition, Anaemia and Low Birth Weight in Children from 0-6 years, as also, focus on Adolescent Girls, Pregnant Women and Lactating Mothers, thus addressing malnutrition.
- National Creche Scheme It aims at providing a safe place for mothers to leave their children while they are at work, by providing a daycare facility to the children of working mothers. It aims to encourage women to take up employment opportunities. It is an intervention towards the protection of children in the age group of 6 months to 6 years.
Central Government Schemes: Ministry of Rural Development
- Shyama Prasad Mukherji Rurban Mission Under this scheme the Central government in coordination with the district administration has taken measures to bring about multi-layered phased development of the rural panchayats and villages on the lines of urban cities with proper civic amenities keeping the soul of villages intact.
- Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana- lll (PMGSY-III) PMGSY- III is proposed to consolidate 1,25,000 Km road length in the Indian states. It involves the consolidation of major Rural Links connecting habitations to Gramin Agricultural Markets (GrAMs), Higher Secondary Schools and Hospitals.

Central Government Schemes: Ministry of Jal Shakti
- Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM)
The union government has remodelled the National Rural Drinking Water Programme(NRDWP) into Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) to provide Functional Household Tap Connection (FHTC) to every rural household. - Atal Bhujal Yojana
It is a World Bank approved Central Sector Scheme. Through the Atal Bhuj Yojana, the government aims to improve groundwater management in priority areas in the country through community participation. - Jal Shakti Abhiyan
This scheme aims for Water Conservation. The government aims for the water conservation and rainwater harvesting, along with the renovation of traditional and other water bodies/ tanks, reuse, bore well recharge structures, watershed development and intensive afforestation.

- Assistance to Disabled Persons for purchase/ fitting of Aids/ appliances (ADIP) Scheme ADIP scheme is to assist the needy persons with disability in procuring durable, and
scientifically manufactured, modern, standard aids and appliances that can promote their physical,
social and psychological rehabilitation, by reducing the effects of disabilities and enhance their
economic potential. - Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana
Through the Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana, the government aims to reach the senior Citizens, belonging to BPL category and suffering from any of the age-related disability, Low vision, Hearing impairment, Loss of teeth and Locomotor disability. This scheme will provide assistance to procure free of cost the assisted-living devices which can restore near normalcy in their bodily functions, overcoming the disability.
