The NICL Exam Pattern includes the following stages:

- Mains
- Interview
- Medical Examination
The candidates have to pass every stage in order to be recruited under the NICL Recruitment 2022. The candidates will not be allowed to attempt the next stage without clearing the previous stage

NICL Prelims Exam Pattern 2022
Objective-type questions from the English Language, Reasoning Ability, and Quantitative Aptitude make up the preliminary test. The test has a total score of 100. The test will take 60 minutes to complete.
The NICL Prelims Exam Pattern is as follows:

NICL Mains Exam Pattern 2022
There are both objective and descriptive questions. The objective test is for 200 marks, while the descriptive test is for 30 marks. Only those applicants who receive qualifying marks on the objective test will be evaluated on their descriptive papers
- Candidates who will clear the NICL Prelims and Mains exams will be invited to the interview phase.
- To be considered for the interview round, the candidate must get a minimum score on each portion of the objective test.
- Candidates must pass the descriptive test, but the descriptive test scores will not be used in further shortlisting for an interview or ultimate selection.
- The ratio of the online exam to the interview round is 80:20. The shortlisted candidates are informed of the center, address of the venue, time, and date of the interview through their call letters.
- The total marks acquired in the objective test of the main examination and the interview round determine the candidates’ final selection.
