NMDC Recruitment 2022 Eligibility Criteria

NMDC strongly urges the applicants to go through the eligibility criteria in detail before applying for the vacancy. Any application that does not meet the criteria will be rejected.

NMDC will only be considering Indian nationals for recruitment.

NMDC Recruitment 2022 Age Limit

Applicants aspiring for the post of Junior Officer Trainee should not be more than 32 years old. Age relaxation in the upper age limit for reserved categories will be as follows:

• Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST) – 5 years
• OBCs (non creamy layer) – 3 years
• Departmental candidates (NMDC) – 15 years
• PwBDs/ Ex. Servicemen – as per government guidelines

NMDC Recruitment 2022 Educational Qualification

Applicants should have the following educational qualification depending on the field they are aspiring to apply.

Junior Officer (Civil) Trainee

Three years Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute.

Junior Officer (Electrical) Trainee

Three years Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute with Electrical Supervisory Certificate (Mining) of Competency Or Degree in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering from a recognized University/Institute.

Junior Officer (Mechanical) Trainee

Three years Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute.

Junior Officer (Mining) Trainee

Three years Diploma in Mining Engineering from a recognized University/Institute with Foreman’s Certificate of Competency to open cast metalliferous mine 0r Degree in Mining Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute with 2nd Class Mines Manager Certificate of Competency to open cast metalliferous mine.

Junior Officer (G & QC) Trainee

M. Sc/ M. Sc (Tech)/ M. Tech in Geology/ Applied Geology/ Exploration Geology from a recognized University/ Institute.

Junior Officer (Survey) Trainee

Three years Diploma in Mining or Diploma in Mines & Mine Surveying with Mine Surveyor’s Certificate of Competency under MMR.

NMDC Recruitment 2022 Work Experience

NMDC requires work experience only from those candidates who are diploma holders. Candidates who have a Bachelors degree need not necessarily have work experience.

Junior Officer (Civil) Trainee

Minimum five years post qualification experience in construction like industrial buildings, conveyor gallery structures, multi-storied RCC buildings, townships including public utilities like water supply, roads, drainage systems etc. Having working knowledge in drafting software will be an added advantage.

Junior Officer (Electrical) Trainee

Minimum five years post qualification experience in carrying out repairs, overhauling and maintenance of HT/ LT Systems/ Installation, HT/ LT Machinery, equipment and gadgets inside/ outside plants, building including overhead and underground transmission lines, cables, transformers, circuit breakers, panels, switch boards and their accessories and allied equipment.

Junior Officer (Mechanical) Trainee

Minimum five years post qualification experience in maintenance, repairs & operation of Heavy Earth Moving Equipment like Diesel and Electrical Shovel, Dumpers, Dozers, Drills and Plant Machinery.

Junior Officer (Mining) Trainee

Minimum five years post qualification experience in the relevant field.

Junior Officer (G & QC) Trainee

Minimum one year Post qualification experience in Geological mapping, Sampling in Mining or related industry.

Junior Officer (Survey) Trainee

Minimum five years Post qualification experience in open cast Metal Mines as ‘Surveyor’ using survey instruments like Digital levels, Theodolites, Total Stations, DGPS etc.

NMDC Recruitment 2022 Application Fee

NMDC charges an application fee of Rs. 250 towards the submission of application form. Candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ PwBD/ Ex-servicemen categories and Departmental Candidates of NMDC Ltd are exempted from paying the application fee. The payment can be made by using UPI / Credit card/ on-line net banking through SBI-Collect using Internet Banking integrated with on-line application. Application fee once paid will not be refunded.

NMDC Recruitment 2022 Application Process

1. Before applying, candidates are advised to go through the notification in detail and ensure that they meet all the requirements put forth by NMDC.
2. Applications will only be accepted through online mode. It has to be submitted through NMDC’s official  website – www.nmdc. co.in
3. Candidates have to first register online through the official website. Once done, will receive your registration number via SMS/ E-Mail.
4. Click on Applicant Login button to fill all the required fields. Candidates are required to mention their date of birth and name as per Matriculation/ 10th class certificate issued by the recognized board.
5. Upload all relevant certificates and documents as per the notification.
6. Pay the application fee (if applicable).
7. Take a print out of the application form for future reference.

Note: All candidates are required to submit the duly filled in Travelling Allowance form along with the required travelling tickets in original for its re-imbursement . This should be done when the candidates are attending the Written Test or Supervisory Skill Test .

NMDC Recruitment 2022 Selection Process

The selection of Junior Officer Trainee will be done in two stages.

Written Test: The first stage will be a written test of 100 marks. This will me a multiple choice test with OMR sheets or any other mode. The exam centers will be decided by the management of NMDC. No requests for change in exam center will be entertained by NMDC. All information regarding the written test will be provided in the admit card. The admit cards will be available in the careers section of the website once the application process is complete. It will also be sent through post or email. The medium of exam will be English and Hindi.

The minimum qualifying marks are as follows:

• SC/ ST/ PwD – 40 marks
• OBC (NCL) – 45 marks
• UR and EWS – 50 marks

Supervisory Skill Test: This is the second stage of selection. Based on their performance in the written exam, candidates will be called for the skill test. The skill test will also be of 100 marks. The candidates are also required to carry their documents for verification during the skill test. Those who fail to do so will not be permitted to attempt the skill test.

The qualifying marks in Supervisory Skill Test will be as follows:

• SC/ ST/ PwD – 30% marks
• OBC (NCL) – 37% marks
• UR/ EWS – 40% marks

Candidates who have qualified in the written test but fail to qualify in the skill test will not be considered. Such candidates will be disqualified.

NMDC Recruitment 2022 Salary

The candidates who are finally selected will be placed as Trainee for a certain period of time. The training period of diploma holders will be 18 months and that of degree holders will be 12 months. During the training period for the first 12 months, the candidates will be paid Rs. 37000. For the next six months the diploma holders will be paid Rs. 38000. On completion of the training period all the candidates will be paid Rs 37000 – Rs 130000.
