- Computer Based Test (CBT): A single-stage CBT will be conducted to test candidates on General Awareness, Mathematics, Reasoning, and relevant Trade/Technical subjects.
- Document Verification (DV): Candidates shortlisted from the CBT will be called for document verification. All educational, identity, and category certificates must be presented in original.
- Medical Examination: After document verification, candidates will undergo a medical fitness test based on the post’s medical standard (A3, B1, B2, C1).
- Final Merit & Empanelment: Based on CBT scores, document verification, and medical fitness, a final merit list will be prepared and published on the respective RRB websites.
Candidates are advised to regularly check the official RRB websites for updates on exam dates and further stages.
RRB Technician Recruitment 2025 Instructions – Read Before Applying
Before applying for the RRB Technician 2025 vacancies under CEN 02/2025, candidates must carefully go through the official notification and ensure they meet all eligibility requirements. Key instructions include:
- Read the CEN Carefully: Applicants must thoroughly read the detailed CEN and Annexures A, B, and C to verify eligibility, post-wise parameters, zone-wise vacancies, and merged post categories.
- Eligibility Requirement: Candidates must possess the required educational and technical qualifications as on the closing date of application submission. Those awaiting final results are not eligible to apply.
- Online Application Only: Applications must be submitted online only via the link available on the official RRB websites.
- Separate Application for Each Pay Level: Candidates must submit a separate application for each Pay Level (Level-2 and Level-5), as separate CBTs will be conducted. Exam fees must also be paid separately for each level.
- Selection of RRB & Post Preferences: Applicants can choose only one RRB per Pay Level and must give their preferences for Zonal Railways and posts accordingly. Incomplete or missing preferences will be considered as unwillingness, and preferences once submitted are final.
- Multiple Applications Will Lead to Disqualification: Submitting more than one application for the same Pay Level will result in disqualification and debarment from all future RRB/RRC recruitments.
- Merged Post Categories (MPCs): Out of 30 Technician categories, 12 have been merged into Merged Post Categories (MPCs) at Pay Level-2. These MPCs group similar posts with identical criteria to simplify the application process. Candidates selected under an MPC can be assigned to any designation within that category in the allotted Zonal Railway.
Candidates are strongly advised to review the complete notification and annexures before proceeding with the application to avoid rejection or disqualification.
