RRC CR Apprentice Recruitment Eligibility Criteria 2024

Educational Qualification:

The candidate must be 10th class examination or its equivalent (under the 10+2 examination system) with a minimum of 50% marks, in the aggregate, from a recognized Board and also possess a National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by the National Council for Vocational Training or Provisional Certificate issued by National Council for Vocational Training / State Council for Vocational Training.

RRC CR Apprentice Recruitment Age Limit 2024

The candidates should have completed 15 years of age and must not exceed 24 years of age as of 15 July 2024. There will be a provision for relaxation in the upper age limit as per the rules given in the notification.

• For SC/ ST candidates: 5 years
• For OBC candidates: 3 years
• For Persons with Disabilities (PwBD): 10 years
• For Ex-servicemen: Up to an additional 10 years, subject to certain conditions.

Central Railway Apprentice Selection Process

The selection will be based on a merit list prepared from the percentage of marks obtained in matriculation (with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks) plus ITI marks in the trade in which the apprenticeship is to be done. The panel will be formed based on the simple average of marks in matriculation and ITI.

In case of tie-in marks, the older candidate will be preferred, and if the birth dates are also the same, the one who passed the matriculation exam earlier will be considered first.
