Sainik School Recruitment 2022 – Educational Qualification

TGT Hindi: Candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Hindi with at least 50% marks in all three years during graduation and 50% marks in aggregate and B.Ed. from a recognized university OR Four year B.A.Ed. with Hindi of the Regional College of Education. They should also have passed in CTET/ STET/ NET/ SLET.

PGT English: Candidates should have Master’s Degree in English OR Diploma in teaching of English from the English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad OR two years Integrated Post Graduate M.A (M.A. Ed) Course of Regional College of Education of NCERT in English. Apart from this, all candidates should have B. Ed from a recognized university.

PGT Physics: Candidates should have Master’s Degree from recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate in Physics / Applied Physics and B. Ed from a recognized University OR two years Integrated Post Graduate M. Sc (M.Sc. Ed) Course of Regional College of Education of NCERT in Physics / Applied Physics. Apart from this, all candidates should have B. Ed from a recognized university.

PGT Chemistry: Candidates should have Masters Degree in Chemistry from recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate OR M.Sc. Degree in Bio- Chemistry from a recognized University after doing a minimum of 6 years study after matriculation OR Two years Integrated Post Graduate M. Sc (M.Sc. Ed) Course of Regional College of Education of NCERT in Chemistry/ Bio- Chemistry. Apart from this, all candidates should have B. Ed from a recognized university.

PGT Mathematics: Candidates should have Masters Degree in Mathematics/ Applied Mathematics from a recognized University with at least 50% marks OR Two years Integrated Post Graduation M.Sc. Course of Regional College of Education of NCERT in Mathematics/ Applied Mathematics. Apart from this, all candidates should have B. Ed from a recognized university.

PGT Biology: Candidates should have Masters Degree in Botany or Zoology from a recognized University with at least 50% marks OR Masters Degree in Zoology with Botany at graduate level OR M.Sc. Life Science with Zoology and Botany at graduate level B. Ed from a recognized university OR Two years Integrated Post Graduation M.Sc. Course of Regional College of Education of NCERT in the subject concerned. Apart from this, all candidates should have B. Ed from a recognized university.

PGT Computer Science: Candidates should have B.E / B. Tech (Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Information Technology / Electronics / Electronics and communications) OR M.C.A / M. Sc / Computer Science / Information Technology/ Masters in Information Technology OR M.Sc. (Mathematics) and B.Sc. (Computer Science) or BCA OR Post Graduate degree in Mathematics or Physics or Statistics and 3 Year Diploma in Computer Engineering/ IT from an institution recognized by the AICTE/ University OR Post Graduate degree in Mathematics or Physics or Statistics and at least Post Graduate Diploma in Computer application from an institution recognized by the AICTE/ University. Apart from this, all candidates should have B. Ed from a recognized university.

Note: All candidates applying for the teacher’s post should also pass in CTET/ STET/ NET/ SLET and have proficiency in teaching in English medium.

Lab Assistant: Candidates should have intermediate science qualification or equivalent in the subject.

Sainik School Recruitment 2022 – Age Limit

All applicants looking for the teacher’s post except for should be in the age limit 21 to 40. Candidates aspiring for the post of Hindi teacher should be in the age limit 21 to 35.
All applicants looking for the post of lab assistant should be in the age limit 18 to 50.

The cut off date for age calculation is 1 January, 2022.

Sainik School Recruitment 2022 – Salary

Sainik school pays a handsome salary to all it’s employees. Apart from this, the employees are eligible for Dearness Allowance (DA) and medical allowances. They also provide rent free accommodation and subsidized education for two children.

Basic pay for teachers: Rs. 47,600
Basic pay for Hindi teacher: Rs. 44,900
Basic pay for lab assistants: Rs. 25,500

Sainik School Recruitment 2022 – Selection Process

There are three stages in the selection process for teachers: Written Examination, Class Demonstration and Interview. Candidates should score a minimum of 33% in each stage to qualify for the next round. After each round, the names of the shortlisted candidates will be published in the official website.

Written Examination: The written exam will be of 100 marks for a duration of one hour. The weightage of written exam for the final is 50%.

Class Demonstration: Those who secure qualifying marks in the written exam will qualify for the class demonstration round. This will be for 100 marks and the weightage for the final is 30%.

Interview: The interview will be for 100 marks and the weightage for the final is 15%.

Those who qualify in the written exam can score a maximum of 50 marks for higher qualification and experience. The weightage for the final is 5%.

The selection process of lab assistants consists of two stages: Written exam and skill and proficiency test.

Written exam: The written exam will be of 50 marks for a duration of one hour.

Skill and proficiency test: Candidates who qualify in the written exam will be called for the skill and proficiency test. This test is of 50 marks.

The dates for the exams will be published in the official website fifteen days before the exam.
