The TNTET which is the abbreviated form for Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test is an annual examination conducted by the Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB), Tamil Nadu. The goal of this examination is to recruit and select candidates who wish to become Primary and Upper Primary Government School teachers in Tamil Nadu. The examination is conducted in two parts wherein Paper-I certifies aspirants for teaching Primary Standards classes I-V. The Paper-II for teaching Upper Primary Standards for Classes VI-VIII. The candidates who clear this examination are provided with Tamil Nadu Eligibility Test certification and their score is valid up to 7 years from the date of clearing the examination.

TNTET Apply Online 2021
- The eligible candidates can apply for TNTET through the Teachers Recruitment Board’s website.
- The candidates can then fill in the online application form with relevant and mistake-free information.

- Higher Secondary Education certificate or its equivalent.
- Certificate or mark sheet for qualifying the exam specified by TRB

TNTET Application Fee 2021:
- The application fee for the TNTET 2021 differs as per the category the candidate belongs to.
- For candidates belonging to the general category, a fee per application form is Rs. 500.
- On the other hand, for those who belong to reserved categories, the application form costs Rs. 250.
