From 2016, onwards the Telangana State education department conducts the Telangana State Teachers Eligibility Test to find eligible candidates who intend to be teachers for classes I to VIII in schools in Telangana State. All candidates who possess D.Ed.,/ B.Ed., / Language Pandit or equivalent qualifications and candidates pursuing final year in any of these courses who aspire to become teachers for classes I to VIII in the schools of the Telangana State Government, Mandal Parishad, Zilla Parishad, Municipality, Private Aided Schools and Private
unaided schools can appear for TS TET. If the aspirants seeking employment as a teacher in private unaided schools shall have the option of appearing at the Central Teachers Eligibility Test/ CTET conducted by the Central Government through CBSE instead of the Telangana State Teachers Eligibility Test. The education department conducts the TS TET across two categories, and any applicant who scores more than the predefined minimum qualifying marks will be declared as Telangana State TET eligible, and they can thus use this status while applying for the teaching positions in the state.

TS TET Expected Cut Off 2022
Telangana State Teacher Eligibility Test is a qualifying test conducted by the Telangana Government’s Department of School Education. The state government schools and aided schools in the state will further conduct the recruitment tests to select eligible TS TET teaching aspirants for their vacancies as required. Across two categories, the Telangana State Teachers Eligibility Test is conducted as a written test for 2 hours 30 minutes for 150 marks. A valid score in either Central Teachers Eligibility Test (for private schools) or Telangana State Teachers Eligibility Test TS TET is mandatory to work as a teacher in schools across the state. The aspirants who intend to be teachers for all classes from I to VIII can appear for the tests in both categories. Since TS TET is a qualifying test, there will not be any cut off scores. So the TS TET cut off marks will be the given minimum qualifying marks till the education department says else. Any aspirant who scores at least the minimum qualifying marks will declare as TS TET qualified. Thus obtained TS TET Certificate / Marks Sheet shall be valid for a period of 7 years from the date of the TS TET examination following NCTE Guidelines. TS TET Reserved List Cut Off 2022
Physically disabled candidates with at least 40% disability only will be considered in respect of visually and orthopedically disabled. Concerning Hearing Impaired, candidates with a minimum of 75% disability will be considered under the PH category. The education department further uses the TS TET scores in selection in District Selection Committee (DSC) recruitments. There will be a 20% weightage will be given to TS TET scores in the ensuing Teacher Recruitment of the State Government i.e., 20% weightage is for TS TET score and 80% weightage for written test in Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT).
