How to Apply for TSPSC Food and Safety Officer Posts?
Candidates should register themselves on the One Time Registration (OTR) through the TSPSC’s website www.tspsc.gov.in before applying. Those who already have registered in OTR should apply by logging into their profile using their TSPSC ID and date of birth as given in OTR.
- The candidates need to register themselves as per OTR (One-time Registration) on the official website of TSPSC https://tspsc.gov.in before applying for the posts.
- Once registered in OTR, candidates can easily apply by logging in to their profiles using their TSPSC ID and Date of Birth as mentioned in the registration process.
- The candidates are needed to fill the necessary details and fill in the form completely.
- Documents like Aadhar card, educational qualification degrees and mark sheets, caste certificates etc. should be kept ready for the easiness of filling of the application form.
- Take a print-out of the same for future reference.
The exam can be held in both online and offline method as per the Board’s choice. It has two slots that is Paper 1 and 2. Paper 1 will comprise of 150 multiple choice questions to test candidates general knowledge and Paper 2 will have 150 questions about the candidate’s subject of choice. The merit would be counted inclusive of both papers.
The TSPSC Food and Safety Officer exam consists of two papers i.e., paper-I general studies and general abilities, and paper-II concerned subject (degree level), which will be same for all. Each paper will have 150 questions which are to be completed in 150 minutes. The exam is for 300 marks with 150 marks for each paper.
The paper-I syllabus includes areas such as Current Affairs – regional, national and international, International relations and events, General Science; India’s achievement in Science and Technology, Environmental Issues and Disaster Management, Economy of India and Telangana, Geography of India with a focus on Telangana, Indian Constitution and Polity with a focus on Local Self-government, Society, Culture, Heritage, Arts and Literature of Telangana, Policies of Telangana State, History of Modern India with a focus on Indian National Movement, History of Telangana with special emphasis on Movement for Telangana Statehood, Logical Reasoning, Analytical Ability and Data Interpretation, and Basic English.
Likewise, the paper-II (concerned subject) syllabus will include Food Chemistry, Food Microbiology, Hygiene & Sanitation, Food Processing Technology, Food Laws and Organisations, and Public & Occupational Health and Nutrition.
Those candidates who pass in the written examination according to their merit will be called for verification of certificates, community and category wise for the vacancies available as needed. The qualifying marks for recruitment of the candidates belonging to OC, Ex-Servicemen, Sports & EWS – not less than 40 per cent, BCs – not less than 35 per cent, SCs, STs and PH – not less than 30 per cent. Simply securing minimum qualifying marks does not hold any right in a candidate to be regarded for selection.
