Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Sewa Chayan Board (UPSESSB) has released notification regarding 4163 vacancies for Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT) and Post Graduate Teachers(PGT). There are 3539 vacancies for UP TGT and the remaining 624 vacancies for UP PGT post. Candidates will have to go through a written exam as a part of selection process. The exam date will be announced shortly. The dates will be updated through the official website – www.upsessb.org. The exam will be conducted by the Board most probably in October or November 2022 in 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh.

UP Trained Graduate Teacher Exam Pattern
The UP TGT written exam will be an objective type paper for a total of 500 marks. The paper will consist of 125 questions and each question will carry 4 marks. There will be no negative marking. The questions will be from the concerned subject that the candidate has applied for. The total duration of the written exam will be two hours. All questions will be compulsory. Each question will have four options and the correct option should be darkened with black ink ball pen.

UP Post Graduate Teacher Exam Pattern
The selection process for UP PGT recruitment is as follows:
- Written Exam – 425 marks
- Interview – 50 marks
- According to the provision contained in Rule 12(4) (c) of the Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Selection Board Rules, 1998, the degree of surcharge (doctor) on special qualification, M. Ed, B. Ed, participation in any national level sports competition through the state team – 25 marks
The total process will be for a maximum of 500 marks.
The written exam will be for a total of 425 marks. The paper will be of objective type questions. All the questions will be compulsory. There will be a total of 125 questions and each question will carry 3.4 marks. There will be no negative marking for wrong answers. The duration of the exam will be two hours. Each question will have four options and the correct option should be darkened with black ink ball pen. A merit list will be released based on the performance of the candidates in the written exam and shortlisted candidates will be called for interview.
