Services Examination – 2020. Interested candidates can now apply towards these posts on or before May 18, 2020. The selection process involves two stages of written examinations followed by the personality test or the interview.

UPPSC Combined State Upper Subordinate Services Eligibility Criteria
- Age Limit: The candidate’s age shall be between 21 years to 40 years as of July 01, 2020. Age relaxations according to the government norms are applicable.

- For the Post of Assistant Conservator of Forest: A candidate who has served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years, or obtained a “B” certificate of N.C.C. shall other things being equal, be given preference.
- For the Post of Range Forest Officer: A candidate who has served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years, or Obtained a ‘B’ Certificate of National Cadet Corps (NCC), or Represented the state in any game, shall, other things being equal, be given preference.

The UPPSC Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services, and Assistant Conservator of Forest / Range Forest Officer Services Examination, 2020 has three successive stages viz:-

Personality Test
The interview is to test the candidate’s aptitude and general suitability for the service. Through this personality test, the interviewer’s will try to relate the candidate’s general interests, academic interest, general awareness, intelligence, character, expression power/ personality, etc. The personality test is for 100 marks.

- Indian Polity and Governance – Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues etc.

- General Issues on Environmental ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change- that do not require subject specialization.
