UPSC invites online recruitment applications for recruitment by selection to following posts such as Specialist Grade 3 Assistant Professor (Radio-Diagnosis), Foreman (Electrical), Senior Scientific Assistant (Electronics), Senior Scientific Assistant (Metallurgy), under Directorate General of Aeronautical Quality Assurance, Department of Defence Production; Ministry of Defence, and Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor. Eligibility Criteria of UPSC Recruitment 2020
The detailed descriptions of age limit, nationality and educational qualifications of each post is mentioned in the following part.
Nationality/ Citizenship
The candidate must be either,
- a citizen of India, or
- a subject of Nepal, or Bhutan, or
- a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
- a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka or East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, etc.
Educational Qualifications:
Foreman (Electrical)
- Degree in Electrical Engineering from any recognized University plus one year experience in relevant field.
- OR Associate Member of Institute of Engineers (AMIE) in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University plus one year experience in relevant field from a recognized organization.
Senior Scientific Assistant (Electronics)
- Degree in Electronics Engineering from any recognized University plus one year experience in relevant field from a recognized organization.
- OR Degree in Engineering or Technology in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from any recognized University plus one year experience in relevant field from a recognized organization.
- OR Associate Member of Institute of Engineers (AMIE) in Electronics Engineering from a recognized University plus one year experience in relevant field from a recognized organization.
- OR Master’s Degree in Science (M.Sc.) in Electronics or in Physics with Electronics from any recognized University.
Senior Scientific Assistant (Metallurgy)
- Degree in Engineering or Technology in Metallurgical Engineering from any recognized University plus one year experience in relevant field from a recognized organization.
- OR Associate Member of Indian Institute of Metals (AMIIM) in Metallurgical Engineering from a recognized University plus one year experience in relevant field from a recognized organization.
Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (Cardio Vascular and Thoracic Surgery)
- A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956).
- Holders of Educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956).
- Post Graduate degree in the concerned speciality or super speciality mentioned in Section A of Schedule VI from recognized Teaching Institute i.e. Magister Chirurguie (Cardio Vascular and Thoracic Surgery); or Magister Chirurguie (Thoracic Surgery); or Magister Chirurguie (Cardiac Surgery); or Magister Chirurguie (Vascular Surgery); or Diplomate National Board (Cardio Vascular and Thoracic Surgery/ Thoracic Surgery/ Cardiac Surgery/ Vascular Surgery).

Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (Radio-Diagnosis)
- A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
- Holders of Educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
- Post-Graduate degree in the concerned speciality or super specialty mentioned in Section A of Schedule VI from recognized Teaching Institute i.e. Doctor of Medicine (Radio- Diagnosis); or Doctor of Medicine (Radiology); or Master of Surgery (Radiology); or Diplomate National Board (Radio- Diagnosis /Radiology).
Application Fee of UPSC Recruitment 2020
- The candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs.25/- by cash or by using net banking facility.
- No fee for SC/ST/PH/Women candidates of any community.
- No fee exemption is available to Gen/OBC/EWS male candidates.

- Candidates who wish to apply for more than one post should apply separately for each post and pay the fee for each post in the prescribed manner.
