Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test conducted by Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board is an exam for eligible candidates who are preparing to become teachers. This exam is qualifying. Candidates who wish to become Primary level teachers and Elementary or Middle-level teachers in Uttar Pradesh need to qualify UPTET exam first. The exam is conducted by Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board.UPTET exam 2022 was conducted on 23rd January 2022. The board has published the primary answer key for the exam. Candidates who have scored more than 60% are qualified for teaching jobs in government schools in Uttar Pradesh. All eligible candidates will be given an eligibility certificate. Candidates can use this certificate to apply for teaching jobs in government schools. Even though the candidates have the eligibility certificate, they must follow the selection process in the school where they apply for.

UPTET exam is conducted for two papers. Paper 1 is held for candidates who have the desire to teach at the primary level (Class 1 to 5). Paper 2 is held for candidates who have the desire to teach at the Middle level or elementary level (Class 6-8). Candidates who passed the entrance exam will get an eligibility certificate. The eligibility certificate’s validity is said to be a lifetime.

UPTET Exam Selection Procedure
UPTET exam is an entrance or eligibility test in nature. Clearing this exam won’t assure any jobs for the candidates. The candidates need to apply for their desired job, either Primary level or Middle level in government schools across the state of Uttar Pradesh. It is termed that the eligibility certificate has lifetime validity. Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board conducts Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test once every year to find out eligible candidates. Candidates can check the official website of the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) for notification and other details. UPTET exam of 2022 was held on 23rd January 2022. The board has published the primary answer key of the same on 26th January 2022. As this is an eligibility test and a single-tier one, the procedure is simple. The selection procedure for the UPTET exam is as follows:
Step 1: Register for UPTET Exam 2022
Candidates who are eligible for the UPTET exam can register online through the official website of the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB). Candidates can choose from Paper 1 or Paper 2 or can appear for both papers. Candidates need to pay the fees prescribed by the board. For One paper it’s 600 and for both papers, it is 1200. SC/ST and PwD candidates need to pay 400 & 800, 100&200 respectively
Step 2: Download Admit Card
Candidates who successfully registered and paid the fee amount can download the admit card for the exam from the official website. Candidates must enter details like registration number and password. Admit card has to be downloaded and keep it with candidates for writing the exam.
Step 3: Written Exam
The next step is the written exam. Candidates who are admitted to the exam can write the written exam on the date published by the board. The exam will be based on the syllabus published by the board earlier.
Step 4: UPTET Answer key
After the completion of the exam, the board will release the primary answer key of the exam. The candidates can download the key and can raise objections. After checking the objections only the board will publish the final answer key.
Step 5: UPTET Result
After the release of the Primary answer key, the board will publish the final answer key of the exam. The final key will be published after considering the objections. After the final key, the result will be published. Candidates who score 60% marks will qualify for the exam.
Step 6: UPTET Eligibility Certificate
Candidates who passed the eligibility exam will get UPTET Eligibility Certificate. This certificate has lifetime validity. Candidates can apply for teaching jobs in the government sector in Uttar Pradesh according to their eligibility, Primary Level or Middle Level. The candidates need to follow the selection process put forward by the school where he/she applies.

UPTET Exam Allotment 2022
UPTET exam is of eligibility test in nature. The selection process doesn’t include preliminary or main exams. It is a single-tier exam for both Paper 1 and Paper 2. Candidates will get an eligibility certificate after passing the UPTET exam. So there is no interview for the UPTET exam. But the candidates need to follow the selection Procedure of the school which they apply for.
