65th BPSC Prelims Exam

The exam was conducted in a single-shift between 12.00 P.M.-2.00 P.M. today in about 718 exam centres over 35 districts.

The commission had published some important circular for candidates prior to the exam. The Patna district administration has invoked Section-144 of the CrPC within a 200-meters radius of every examination centre for preventing the gathering of people in the prohibited areas to create disturbances. The Sub Divisional Magistrate, Patna, informed that the imposition of Section 144 would prevent assembly of more than five persons, carrying firearms and edged weapons, explosive materials in 200-meter areas of every examination centres. The public speech, sloganeering and all other things, which could disrupt the smooth conduction of examinations, would not be entertained near the exam centres. Section 144 remains effective until the exam is completed.

Mains Exam Pattern

The exam Pattern of Mains Exam:

• It consists of a qualifying paper(30 marks) of General Hindi – 100 marks, One hour.
• Two general studies paper- each with 300 marks,3 hours.
• The general studies paper are available in both English and Hindi medium.
• One optional paper with 300 marks, 3 hours. The optional subjects can be selected by the candidate.
