Railway Recruitment Board has released the exam center information and date for first stage test for the recruitment of Assistant Loco Pilot and technician. The first stage exam will be a computer-based test.
The information is available on the official website of RRB from 26th July onwards.
Applied candidates who have been anxiously waiting can now log in and check their exam centers, exam language, date of exam, shift/session, reporting time, gate closure time and exam start time.
How to check the examination center:
- Visit the RRB official portal.
- Click on “City and Date intimation” or click here
- Enter registration number as user ID.
- Enter date of birth as password.
- Submit the data.
- Your exam city, date and session will appear on the screen.
- Take a printout of the same.
SC/ST students can also avail their Travel Authority Certificate from the page.
Exam dates:

The first exam will be on 9th August 2018. After that, there will be exams on 10th, 13th, 14th, 17th, 20th, 21st, 29th, 30th and 31st August 2018.
Examination Admit Card download:
However, this notification released is not the call letter for the candidate appearing the exam. The admit cards for the exam will be available for download only 4 days prior to the scheduled exam date.
RRB ALP exam pattern:
The exam pattern for this year consists of two stages of computer-based tests (CBT) and a computer-based aptitude (CBAT) test for ALP candidates.
RRB ALP exam pattern is given below:
[table id=85 /]There will be negative marking for both stages, and 1/3rd mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. However, there will not be negative marks for the CBAT.
RRB ALP Mock Test :
Along with the center notification, a mock exam of the computer-based test (CBT) was also launched in the site. The link is active since 26th July.
Going through this mock test will be extremely useful as it will give an overview of the exam pattern and questions. Also, it will resolve all concerns of those candidates who are new to CBTs.

RRB’s have opened 26,502 posts for the post of ALPs and technicians. A recent notification stated that these vacancies are likely to be increased to about 60,000 soon.
