The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has published the official notification for the recruitment of a Medical Officer (Assistant Surgeon) in Group A (Junior Branch). The recruitment drive is being conducted to fill 2452 MO vacancies across the Odisha state. Out of which, 1042 vacancies are for the ST category, 653 for SC, 633 for unreserved, and 124 for the SEBC category. The online application process will begin on February 26, 2021, on the OPSC official website.

OPSC Medical Officer Recruitment 2021
Odisha Public Service Commission is inviting applications from Medical Graduates towards the Assistant Surgeon-Medical Officer post across the state. OPSC will hire 2452 medical officers through this recruitment and will appoint them as Group A (Junior Branch) of Odisha Medical and Health Services cadre under the Health & Family Welfare department. Medical Officers will be appointed in the pay matrix level of 12. For the selection process, OPSC will conduct the written examination either in Bhubaneshwar or in Cuttack in April 2021.

OPSC Medical Officer: Eligibility Criteria
- Age Limit: Candidates age shall be between 21 years and 32 years. Candidates must have been born not earlier than January 02, 1989, and not later than January 01, 2000. Upper age limit relaxations according to the government norms are applicable.
- Education Qualification: Candidates Should Possess an MBBS or equivalent degree from a Medical College or Medical institution recognized by the Medical Council of India. Should have a valid registration Certificate Under Odisha Medical Registration Act 1961.

The first time users should register themselves with the Odisha PSC and must possess a Permanent Service Account Number, and Username. Those who already have these credentials can apply directly by logging into their OPSC profile. While filling the application, make sure to upload your HSE, Intermediate, MBBS graduation certificate, Mark list, photograph, Housemanship completion certificate, Medical registration, Identity Proof, etc.
A candidate is required to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs.500 as the examination fee. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes of Odisha and Persons with Disability are exempted from the fee payment.
