LIC Assistant Eligibility Criteria 2022

The Life Insurance Corporation officials have issued certain criteria to be eligible for the LIC Assistant post. The candidates should satisfy each of the given criteria to be eligible for the post.

Age Limit

The age limit specified by the LIC authority is as follows. The candidate should not be younger than the age of 21 while applying for the post. The upper limit of the age is specified as not more than 30 years. However, a relaxation in the upper age limit is provided to the candidates belonging to the Reserved Category.

Educational Qualification

The LIC officials have also issued general criteria for the educational qualifications of a candidate. The candidate must be a Bachelor’s Degree holder. The degree should be from a reputed and recognized college or university that is approved by the Govt of India. The Graduation degree should be of the pattern 10+2+3. The applicant must also have basic computer skills.

Nationality

The candidate should be a citizen of India. The applicant must make sure that he/she applies from the respective zones in which he/she stays. If the candidate who is applying for the post fails to provide proof for his/her identity, the application and candidatures will be terminated by the commission. 

 Medical Examination

The candidates who have been shortlisted will be called for a medical test. Therefore, the candidate will undergo a few tests after which he/she will be considered fit for the post of LIC Assistant. The candidates who are found physically fit for the post will be considered for the final rank list by the recruitment commission.

LIC Assistant Job Profile 2022

As the name suggests, the LIC Assistant post is a clerical-level post. The LIC Assistant job profile includes the following:

• LIC Assistants perform Cashier, Single Window Operator, Customer Service Executive, and other clerical services.
• They also have to perform back-office work according to the work assigned to them by the manager.
• They manage cash counters at LIC offices and look into account-related work and recovery.
•  Sanctioning and disbursing files assigned to them is another task they have to perform.
• They also manage customer grievances.

The structure of the LIC Assistant Salary is detailed below. The basic pay given to the LIC Assistant is Rs. 14435 as per the 7th pay Commission. The gross annual package will be around INR 3 to 3.4 Lakhs per annum.

LIC Assistant Selection Procedure 2022

The LIC Assistant selection process takes place in three rounds-namely, the Prelims Exam, the Mains Exam and the Interview round. The candidates must clear all three rounds in order to qualify for achieving the post.

1. Preliminary Exam: The first phase of the selection process of the LIC Assistant is the Prelims test. The candidates must pass this test to reach the second phase of selection.
2. Mains Exam: This is the second phase of the selection process for the LIC Assistant. Those who have cleared the prelims exam will be shortlisted to write the Mains exam. The candidates who have passed the Mains exam with high scores will be eligible to move to the next round of selection.
