TSPSC Divisional Account Officer (DAO) Job Profile 2022
A Divisional Accountant is responsible for maintaining accounts for different government departments and checking all the transactions and expenses of projects. It is only after their approval and verification that the contractors will receive the payment for a project. Initially, the selected candidates will be on a probation period for two years. They will be working in a preferred city for at least 6 months, where you will be trained and taught the various responsibilities and duties of a Divisional Accountant. After the completion of probation period candidates will be posted in the state govt. irrigation offices, PWD offices, public health offices, and others where candidates will be working as a financial advisor or chief accountant.

Candidates must possess Bachelor’s Degree of a recognized University in India established or incorporated by or under a Central Act or a state Act or an Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission or any equivalent qualifications.

- Overall control over the Ministerial staff in the division.
- To guide the accounts section in the matters of accounts.
- To release budget under plan and non plan.
- To review monthly expenditure with reference to release of funds.
- To get vouchers audited by Local Fund Audit.
- To furnish records to Accountant General and replies to PAC.
- To reconcile accounts with t\Treasury.
