• Safety rules and safety signs, Types and working of fire extinguishers, First aid safety practice, Hazard identification and prevention, Personal
safety and factory safety.
• Concept of Standards and advantages of BIS/ISI. Trade tools specifications.
ACTIVE – PASSIVE COMPONENTS AND IC’s
Resistors. Capacitors, Inductors, Series-parallel combinations of resistors, capacitors & inductors, Colour coding of various components, Inductive reactance, Capacitive reactance, Self inductance, Mutual inductance, Q – Factor, Transformers, Diodes, Transistors, FET, MOSFET, Surface Mount Device, Regulated IC’s.
BASIC ELECTRONICS

RRB Technician Exam Pattern 2024
In contrast to the exam pattern for Assistant Loco Pilot, the RRB Technician Exam will be conducted in three distinct stages:
1. First Stage of Computer-Based Test (CBT)
2. Second Stage of Computer-Based Test (CBT)
3. Document Verification
The RRB Technician Exam Pattern 2024 comprises two online stages, both in an objective-type format. The first stage, CBT 1, consists of four sections to be completed within 60 minutes. CBT 2 is divided into two parts namely Part A and B. Part A includes four sections with a total of 100 questions to be completed in 90 minutes, while Part B contains 75 trade-related questions to be completed in 60 minutes.

In the first stage of the CBT for Technician roles, there are 75 questions comprising the following categories: mathematics, general intelligence & reasoning, general science, and general awareness on current affairs.
For each incorrect answer, there is a negative marking of ⅓rd of a mark.

RRB Technician Exam Pattern for CBT 2
The second stage of the CBT for Technician positions is divided into two parts: Part A and Part B. Part A comprising four subjects – Mathematics, Basic Science and Engineering, General Intelligence and Reasoning, and General Awareness. Part B contains questions related to the relevant trade.
Similar to CBT 1, there is a negative marking of ⅓rd of a mark for each incorrect answer.
