BPSC Motor Vehicle Inspector 2020 – Notification

The BPSC has released the recruitment notification for the post on 30^th April 2020. They are inviting application only through online mode. The job seekers can apply for the post before 26^th May 2020.  The scale of pay for the MVI post is, as per the BPSC MVI Level -6. Motor Vehicle Inspector 2020: Eligibility Criteria

The candidates are required to check their eligibility for the post of Motor Vehicle Inspector 2020 under the Bihar Public Service Commission.

Educational eligibility

• Candidates must have passed 10th Class with Diploma in Automobile Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from recognized Board.
• Candidate must hold a Valid Driving License.

Age limit

As on 01.08.2019

• The candidate should have minimum 18 years.
• And the maximum age limit is 37 Years (Female 40 years).
• SC / SC (Male/Female) 21 – 42 years

The candidates those who are interested to apply for the BPSC MVI 2020, are required to pay the application fee during filling the application form. The General/OBC/EWS Applicants are supposed to pay an amount of Rs.750/- and the SC/ST and Female of Bihar Applicants have to pay an amount of Rs.200/-

Duties of a Motor Vehicle Inspector (MVI)

The duties to be performed by a MVI  are; basically inspecting automotive vehicles to ensure compliance with governmental regulations and safety standards, inspecting truck accessories, air lines and electric circuits, and reports vehicles those needs repair, examines vehicles for damage, and drives vehicle to detect malfunctions. MVI tests vehicle components for wear, damage, or improper adjustment, using mechanical or electrical devices, applies inspection sticker to vehicles that pass inspection, and rejection sticker to vehicles that fail, prepares report on each vehicle for follow-up action by owner or police.

The interested job seekers can register themselves through Motor Vehicle Inspector online form 2020 from the official portal. Here is the steps to be followed during filling the application form.

• Mainly, the candidate should visit the official website of Bihar Public Service Commission.
• Read out all the instructions of BPSC MVI 2020 given in the home page.
• Then the candidate of BPSC Motor Vehicle Inspector can click on the Apply Online button.
• Fill up all the details like Personal Details, Contact Details, Educational Eligibility and upload Signature and Photograph.
• Before submitting the application, the applicant has to pay the required amount and after that click on the Submit button.
• The fee should be paid via Online Mode Only
• Take a print of the filled BPSC Online Application Form for future reference.

After the successful submission of application through online, the applicants are required to submit the hard copy of their application form to the given address. Sign on the hard copy of the application form with a blue ball pen in English and Hindi in the provided space. Please note that send the hard copy of application to the given address on or before 29^th June 2020 05:00 PM.

Motor Vehicle Inspector 2020: Selection process

The selection of candidates to the post MVI 2020 will be done on the basis of two stages like:

1. Written test: offline mode
2. Interview

Motor Vehicle Inspector 2020: Exam pattern

• The written examination will comprise of three papers.
• Each paper will be of 100 marks of 2 hours.
• Therefore the total marks will be 300.
• The questions will be in the format of Objective or Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ’s).
