Defence Research and Development organization has released an important notice, DRDO CEPTAM MTS Tier 1 Exam postponed. The notification has been issued on their official website. All the candidates who had applied for DRDO CEPTAM Tier 1 exam 2019 should note that the examination could not be conducted due the current upsurge of the covid-19 cases. DRDO is an agency under the ministry of defence that is entitled with the research and development of the military. DRDO is India’s largest and most diverse organization of research. DRDO has a network of 52 laboratories engaged to develop defence technologies covering areas such as aeronautics, electronics, land combat engineering, armaments etc

The notice released states that the revised exam dates for the DRDO CEPTAM Tier 1 Exam (Test: 2019-20) will be released soon by the commission. All the candidates who have applied for the above exam are advised to keep a track on the CEPTAM notice board that would be available from their official website.

DRDO CEPTAM MTS Tier 1 Exam Postponed – Overview

The notification was earlier released for recruiting to the vacancies of 1817 Multi tasking staff. The selection process for the above said exam consists of Tier 1 test which is the screening test and the tier II examination that will be the final selection test. Both of these examinations will be in the CBT mode (Computer based test ). Normalization of scores for the tier 1 exam will be done as per requirement. Both the tier 1 and tier II exam for the post of Multi Tasking Staff will only comprise of objective type multiple choice questions.

As seen commonly in various other CBT exams, there would not be any negative marking for the wrong answer in the DRDO CEPTAM MTS Tier 1 Exam. The syllabus for the examination will be in accordance with the essential qualification required for the post. The exam will have Hindi and English as medium. The tier I and tier II exam are for screening and final selection of the candidates.

Screening Test

The tier 1 selection test will be based on the merit obtained in the CBT examination conditional on the post/ category or subcategory of the candidate. The minimum qualifying marks in the tier 1 examination for SC/ST category will be 35% and 40% UR/OBC/ESM category candidates.

Final Selection

Candidates will be selected for the tier II exam based on their results obtained in the tier 1 exam. The ratio for the selection of candidates will be on a ratio of 1:10, however this may change depending on the requirements of the organization.
