Kerala PSC HSST Zoology 2026 Eligibility Criteria – Age & Qualification

Method of Appointment: Recruitment to the HSST Junior Zoology post (Category No. 717/2025) will be through direct recruitment by the Kerala Public Service Commission.

Age Limit: Candidates must be between 20 and 40 years, born between 02.01.1985 and 01.01.2005, with age relaxations applicable to SC/ST/OBC candidates. The upper age limit is relaxable up to 43 years for qualified Ministerial Staff under the Higher Secondary Education Department, as per GO(P) No. 36/2005/Gl.Edn.

Educational Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Zoology with at least 50% marks from a recognized Kerala University or an equivalent qualification.

• Must have passed the Kerala State Eligibility Test (SET), unless exempted under PSC rules for NET/JRF, SLET, M.Ed, Ph.D, M.Phil, or 10 years of approved teaching service.
