Below are the key guidelines every candidate should know after the publication of the Kerala PSC Scientific Officer Rank List. These rules apply to all streams and categories under the Kerala PSC Scientific Officer post.
1. Validity of the Ranked List
- The ranked list will remain valid for a specific period, usually between one to three years, or until a new list is published.
- Candidates will be considered for appointment as per reservation rules and rotation system.
- Selection depends on the availability of vacancies, so inclusion in the list does not guarantee appointment.
2. Rechecking of Answer Scripts
- Revaluation is not permitted, but candidates can apply for rechecking of their answer scripts.
- Applications should be submitted online through the PSC One Time Registration profile.
- A prescribed fee must be paid via the official e-payment system.
- Requests sent by email, post, or direct submission will not be accepted.
3. Photocopy of OMR Answer Sheets
- Candidates can apply online to obtain a photocopy of their OMR answer sheets (Part A & B).
- The request must be submitted through the PSC website using the registered profile.
- A fee payment is required, and only one copy will be issued.
- Applications in other formats or invalid OMR copies will not be accepted.
4. Correction of Community Details
- Community and reservation details are based on the information given in the application.
- If any errors are noticed, candidates should inform the Kerala PSC Examination Wing within the allowed time.
- Failing to do so may result in losing the benefit of reservation or community claim.
5. Relinquishment of Appointment Claim
- Candidates who do not wish to be considered for appointment can relinquish their claim.
- The application must be in the official format available on the PSC website.
- It should be attested by a Gazetted Officer and include a Notarized Affidavit and valid ID proof.
- Only properly submitted requests will be accepted for withdrawal of claims.
Disposal of OMR Answer Scripts

Both Part A and Part B of the OMR answer scripts will be destroyed after a fixed period following the finalization of the ranked list.
