UGC NET Exam consists of two papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2. A total of 150 questions carry a total of 300 marks. Candidates have 3 hours to complete the examination. Paper 1 of the UGC NET examination is compulsory for all candidates. But in the case of Paper 2, candidates must select the subject they prefer.

UGC NET exam conducted by National Testing Agency is qualifying. It is conducted to find out the eligible candidates for Assistant Professorship and Junior Research Fellowship. The candidates can download the scorecard from the official website of the UGC once it is released. The official notification for the UGC exam 2022 will be published on the official website soon. The steps to download the scorecard from the official website are as follows.
- Go to the official website of the University Grants Commission NET (UGC NET)
- You will be redirected to the homepage
- Search for the UGC NET Result with the year
- Click on the UGC NET link
- Enter the Application Number and Password
- Enter CAPTCHA and sign in
- Download the PDF and keep it with the candidate
UGC NET Qualifying Score
The UGC NET Exam is conducted for two posts mainly. Assistant Professorship and Junior Research Fellowship. The criteria for the qualification for both posts have been set by the UGC. 6% of the total candidates who appeared for papers 1&2 will only be qualified for the Assistant Professorship. There will be category-wise reservations for this. 1% of the total candidates who appeared for both papers will only qualify for Junior Research Fellowship. Category-wise and Subject wise merit lists will be prepared and published by the Commission. The minimum marks need to score for qualification for General Category will be 40% and for other categories, it is 35%.
