Eligibility Criteria for UPSC CDS 2 Recruitment 2021
General Criteria
- Must be unmarried.
- A citizen of India or a subject of Nepal or a person of indian origin migrated from a list of countries as specified by the commission.
Educational Qualification
I.M.A. and Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai
Any candidate who wants to apply for the course must be a graduate with a degree from any recognized university or institute of India.
Indian Naval Academy
Any candidate who wants to apply for the course must have an Engineering Degree from a recognized institute of the country.
Air Force Academy
Any candidate who wants to apply for the course must possess a degree (with physics and mathematics as subjects in 10+2) or an engineering degree from a recognized university of the country.
Officers Training Academy (OTA)
Any candidate who wants to apply for the course must possess a degree in any discipline from a recognized institute of the country.
Officers Training Academy (SSC Women Non-Technical course)
Any candidate who wants to apply for the course must possess a degree in any discipline from a recognized institute of the country.

UPSC CDS 2 Selection Process
The selection to the aforementioned posts in the common defense services will be done through a two stage d process.
- Online Written Examination
- Personality and Intelligence Test
The tier 1 of the selection process involves an online written examination of the candidates that is scheduled to be held on 14th November 2021 at various examination centres in the country. Only those candidates who obtain the qualifying mark and enter in the merit list will be called for the personality cum intelligence test.
