This year the Union Public Service Commission notified a total of 838 vacancies for Junior Scale Posts in Central Health Service and also for Assistant Divisional Medical Officer, Assistant Medical Officer and GDMO. UPSC CMS 2021 Eligibility Criteria
The candidates applying for the post of UPSC CMS must, however, be eligible according to the criteria put forth by the UPSC. The eligibility criteria in the educational qualification, age limit and physical conditions are stated below.
Educational Qualification:
The candidate should clear the written and practical parts of the final MBBS Exam. Additionally, a candidate who has appeared or has yet to appear in the final M.B.B.S exam may also apply.
Age Limit:
The candidate should be below 32 years of age as of 01/08/2021.
Medical:
The candidates must be physically and medically fit in accordance with the physical/medical standards for the Combined Medical Services Examination 2020 as per regulations contained in Appendix III to the Rules of the Examination.
Selection Process for UPSC CMS 2021
The selection process involves a two-step procedure where the candidates have to attend a Computer Based Exam of 500 marks and an interview that carries 100 marks.
UPSC CMS Exam Pattern
The exam is conducted only in English medium. Generally, there will be two parts of the objective questions. For every wrong answer, ⅓ mark is reduced.
