UPSC CMS Notification 2025

Union Public Service Commission has released a notification for Combined Medical Service Exam 2025 (CMS 2025) on 19 February 2025 on its official website upsc.gov.in. UPSC CMS Recruitment 2025 Notification:

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is inviting online applications from eligible candidates, and the application process for Combined Medical Service Exam 2025 (CMS 2025) has started on its website upsc.gov.in. The last date for UPSC CMS Registration 2025  was 11 March 2025 before 6 PM on upsconline.nic.in. Moreover, the online application correction window was open from 12 March to 18 March 2025.

UPSC CMS: Vacancies 2025

This year the Union Public Service Commission notified a total of 705 vacancies. Hence, the various vacancies in both Category-I and Category-II are mentioned below:

Category-I

• Medical Officers Grade in General Duty Medical Officers Sub-cadre of Central Health Service – 226

Category-II

• Assistant Divisional Medical Officer in the Railways – 450

• General Duty Medical Officer in New Delhi Municipal Council – 09

• General Duty Medical Officer Gr.-II in Municipal Corporation of Delhi – 20

UPSC CMS 2025: Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

The candidate should pass the written and practical parts of the final MBBS Examination. Candidates who have appeared or are yet to appear in the final M.B.B.S exam may also apply.

Age Limit:

The candidate should be below 32 years of age as of 01/08/2025.
(For Medical Officers Grade in CHS, the upper age limit is 35 years)

Medical:

The candidates must be physically and medically fit in accordance with the physical/medical standards for the Combined Medical Services Examination 2025 as per regulations contained in Appendix III to the Rules of the Examination.

Selection Process for UPSC CMS 2025

The selection process involves a two-step procedure:

1. Computer Based Examination – 500 Marks

2. Interview/Personality Test – 100 Marks

UPSC CMS Exam Pattern

The exam is conducted only in English medium. Generally, there will be two parts of objective questions. For every wrong answer, ⅓ mark is reduced.

How to Apply for UPSC CMS?

Follow these steps:

1. Apply Online from 19/02/2025 to 11/03/2025.

2. Register on the One Time Registration (OTR) platform at upsconline.gov.in.

3. Fill in the application form and upload Photo, Signature, ID Proof, and other documents.

4. Pay the application fee, if applicable.

5. Submit and take a printout for reference.

UPSC CMS Admit Card 2025

The admit card is expected to be released in the second week of July 2025 on the official UPSC web portal.

UPSC CMS Interview 2025

The Interview for Personality Test is intended to serve as an addition to the computer-based examination for testing the General Knowledge and potential of the candidates in the fields of their academic study and also in the nature of a personality test to assess the candidate’s intellectual curiosity, critical powers of assimilation, the balance of judgement, the alertness of mind, the ability for social cohesion, the integrity of character, initiative and capability for leadership.
