The Union Public Service Commission has released the revised exam dates for the recruitment of Enforcement Officer (EO)/ Accounts Officer (AO) post. The commission will be conducting the Recruitment Test for Enforcement Officer/Accounts Officer in the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization on 9th May 2021 (Sunday) all over India.
UPSC EPFO Exam Centre Change
The commission keeping in view about the large inflow of requests regarding the change in their centres have decided to allow the candidates to change their centres. The commission has also added new centres along with the existing centres. The request of the candidates regarding the centre change will be considered on the principle of “first apply- first allot” basis and once the capacity of one centre id over it will be frozen. The window for changing the centres for the examination will be open for the access of the interested candidates in two phases i.e. from 15th December, 2020 to 21st December,2020 till 06:00 pm and 29th December,2020 to 4th January,2021 till 06:00 pm. The candidates must visit the official website of Union Public Service Commission which is https://www.upsc.gov.in/ to any changes.
The UPSC released the notification regarding the vacancies on the 11th of January this year and the online application for the recruitment was available from 11th January, 2020 to 31st January,2020. - Out of the 421 vacancies, 11 vacancies are reserved for Physically Challenged people. Out of this above stated 11 vacancies 8 vacancies are reserved for Deaf and Hard of Hearing with disability while the remaining 3 seats are reserved for Locomotor Disability including Cerebral Palsy, Leprosy Cured, Dwarfism, Acid Attack Victims and Muscular Dystrophy with disability, i.e., Both legs affected but not arms (BL) or one leg affected (R or L) (OL) or one arm affected (R or L).

Age Limit
The age limit for a candidate from general category to apply for the vacancy is 30 years while there is relaxation of upper age limit for candidates from SC/ST or other categories.

The selection process consists o two phases firstly its an offline examination and then the interview. The pen and paper-based recruitment test is basically to shortlist candidates for the interview round which will be conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) across different examination centres. UPSC EPFO Exam Pattern

Recruitment Test – Phase One
- The duration of the examination will be two hours.
- The maximum mark is 100 marks.
- All questions will carry the same marks.
- The examination will be objective type will multiple choice of answers.
- The medium of examination will be both English and Hindi.
- There is negative mark, for every wrong answer 1/3rd mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
- Candidates with physical disabilities will be given an extra 20 minutes per hour in the RT and facility of Scribe.

Interview – Phase Two
- The candidates will have to attend the next phase of the recruitment process after the recruitment examination which is the interview. The maximum marks for the interview round is also 100 marks.

Roles and responsibilities of an Enforcement Officer/ Accounts Officer under UPSC
An enforcement officer looks after the work of Enforcement, Recovery, Accounts, Administration Cash, Legal, Pension and Computer which includes the statutory and administrative functions like conducting inquiry settlement of claims, general administration;
- He/she has the responsibilities to maintain the Cash Book/ administration;
- Maintenance of Cash Book/Reconciliation of Bank Statements is another work vested upon an enforcement officer.
