UPPSC vs UPSC
The difference between the UPSC and UPPSC exams is like one is nation-wise and another one is state PCS. In the case of the official ranking, UPSC is considered to be higher than any UP state civil employee. The level of examination is tougher for UPSC than the UPPSC. UPPSC vs UPSC- Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
- UPSC: Candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years on the 1st of August, 2021.
- UPPSC: Candidates must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have crossed the age of 40 years of the notification date.
Educational Qualifications
For both exams, UPSC & UPPSC, candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree from any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University.
Number of Attempts
For the UPSC IAS Exam, the number of times a candidate may attempt the exam is as follows:
- General Category: 6
- OBC Category: 9
- SC/ST Category: Unlimited
But for the UPPSC, there are no such maximum attempts declared.

UPSC
The Personal Interview will be conducted for the successful candidates from the Main examination. The maximum mark allotted for the personal interview is 275. So the total marks for the merit are 2075.

Interview relates to the matter of general interest keeping the matter of academic interest in view and for general awareness, intelligence, character, expression power/personality, and general suitability for the service.
